Some of the funniest times (and memories) I have with my friends come from the Trivial Pursuit nights we used to have! We'd split up into teams and be completely entertained the entire night...that and the fact that afterwards we'd usually have a fun game of beer flip, or beer pong ...

I like to play. Nobody around here ever wants to play them with me. So I'm pretty much limited to camping & trips to visit family out of town. That's when I end up playing.

I LOVE Cranium the most right now (for those of you that haven't played, it's a combo between charades/performing, trivia, word games/puzzles & drawing/sculpting.) Hilarity ensues every time.

Other faves: Monopoly, Scrabble, Outburst, Taboo, Jenga (yeah yeah, not really a board game, bite me.)

I don't really like Clue or Life that much, but if someone offers, I will play out of sheer desperation. The worst board games I have ever played were The Simpsons & Friends trivia games. They were very dumb, so we just read the questions out loud & guessed without bothering to set up the board & play.
I have a friend who Collects Board games, so we play junk you never have seen or would think to play!! european, american, asian.... Seems the germans are the cutting edge makers atm. Hooda Thunk it?

I love cardgames, especially a Dutch game called klaverjassen (is there an international variant of this?)
Used to love Trivial Pursuit but it's been a few years since I last played it.. some friends of mine have this new game called Carcasonne, I like that one too.

Heart Board Games-Bored Games

I have always loved boaed games- When I was young my family always went to the ocean in the summer and stayed at our camp there- No electricity, an out-house, and an actual pump to get water from. It was very rustic but right on the water..BEAUTIFUL- Any way the reason I am telling you the background story is because we also used to get a lot of rain and with no lights at night, we did a lot of game playing during the days.

Candy Land-I was a kid, OK?
Life I used to like the car you got!
Stretgo
Parcheesi- not sure on the spelling

So,now I am older and although the first 2 are out...
These days, I would say:
Monopoly, but I agree it does take too long to play,
Scrabble
Pente-(games with colored stones, that you have to stop the other player from connecting, haven't known of anyone else that knows this game. When we play, I always have to teach)
Backgammon-Taught how to play in College, we used to have a little twist on it though...if you rolled doubles, you got to do a bong hit, hense, we didn't get much serious studing done . The game became know as "Bonggammon" today when we play, its just Backgammon
Trivial Pursuit
and some card games too, but not as many
Well that's my list and story~~~hope someone else knows these games

I really enjoy board games - every few months a group of us get together at a local coffee shop and just play board games

I enjoy:

Monopoly
Trivial Pursuit
Scattergories
Trouble
Sorry
Scrabble
Cranium
