Red Rocks Is Being Taped

Do you people remember every little thing I type? Jeez.

My alcohol tolerance seems to have gone down lately. I think this is good. I wasn't fall-down/slurring drunk last night, I was giddy/feeling no pain tipsy. And it may have been 6 beers. Lost count. In any event, I woke up without a problem. Yay me.

I've never been exposed to it, but have heard that the altitude there can be an issue for people, especially performers and athletes. I agree with some of you that this "taping" will never come to fruition due to the energy problem she had. Oh well, maybe they will tape the show I'm going to on saturday or sunday! Stevie's coming home!!!

Ok I nearly had a coronary reading these posts until the end this morning. I had Red Rocks tix and was going to go but it was 105 here yesterday (we broke an all time record) and I am 6 mos pregnant and didn't think it was a good idea. So then I read that it was being taped (which upset me) but that there was a special guest and thought OMG what if Lindsey showed up????? I would have really really REALLY been upset! So now I finally read the end and feel better (believe me!) but still upset I didn't get to go. Sounds like it was a good show but not one of her best. I bet the altitude and the HEAT more than anything effected her. I can tell you for me the heat was unbearble but I am also pregnant. There was no way I was going to hike up the stairs and ramps to Red Rocks in that heat and then sit in it waiting- didn't think it was smart. It took me 30 min just to get from parking lot to car when I saw Van Morrison last month (but it was freezing that night!).

My husband went up to RR and sold our tix - some guy bought one and was sooo excited he even gave my husband more than my husband asked (he just sold them at face) when he said my wife is pregnant and couldn't go and this guy couldn't believe he had gotten an 11th row seat. I am glad it went to a real fan. Then my husband sold the other too so we got our $$$ back at least. It was such a last minute decision and a hard one to make!

Well if it comes on DVD I'll show my child when he's older "look what mommy gave up for you"! LOL!

Not to be Debbie Downer but I have thought all along that Stevie was very up and down this tour. One night she was blah, the next she kicked major ass. As far as the altitude, she got to Colorado Monday afternoon....would that be enough time to acclimate, Chris? With her asthma, the heat and the altitude...that very well could be the problem with her vocals and energy level.

I was told she usually needs about three days.

That's the same reason I didn't go 19 years ago. And my daughter has seen the Red Rocks video many times.

Geeez... Sounds like I missed a major anti-climax. I got home about 2:30am and came directly here (of course, I'm a nerd). And I couldn't get on, and I was like, WTF??? So after tearing out a few hairs, I tried Mick's board, and when I saw Paula posting, I was like, okay, something happened to The Ledge. It's not just me. But then I read the posts... what a let down!! I wonder where all the rumours of special guests came from? I wonder if there had been plans to film the show, maybe not even for commercial release, and when the radio stations got wind of that, they just deduced there would be special guests? I have no clue - just speculating. But man, I have to say, after all the excitement and anticipation last night, this is sort of disappointing. I really hope everyone had a good time at the show regardless... Going to look for some reviews now...
