O'Connor Urged to Reconsider Retirement

[DrummerDeanna]

Yeah, "Hey O'Connor screw your ailing husband - stay on the court to make US happy"

I don't see that happening - I just don't. She up there in years, has been in ill health herself -and now her husband is ailing - she knew when she resigned that Rehnquist was having health issues and has been around since Jesus was a boy - she's made her decision.

And when asked if he's stepping down Renny's reply? "That's for me to know and you to find out"

I wonder if he'll stick it out until death or extreme debilitatin illness?

umm...she DID say her retirement was conditional on somebody being confirmed. That may not happen with the current Senatorial chaos (let us pray)

He's already got the latter. Recent photos that I've seen of him don't depict him to be in good health.
