Steve, did I ever tell you about the liquor store in Nashville, TN? Frugal MacDougal's. Got a giant Scotsman on the sign. I think of it everytime I see your name! Frugal MacDougal!
Actually, a buddy who lives in Nashville sent me like six cups from Frugal MacDoogal's!

How about a compromise?

Those who say "yes," that they want to play, are the only contestants, and you can all vote each other off.

My vote is NO.

Because 75-80 percent think it's not a good idea, does not mean you shouldn't do it, like Johnny Stew wants you to believe. If 20% of this board wants it, it's completely valid to do so. H*ll, even if it was 5 percent.
Are you serious? You're going to be one of the people going "Yay! My friends are so cool and those other people are not!" Gag me! COME ON. Yo'ure better than that. Hawkeye is young, so he doesn't understand yet how lame popularity contests are, but surely you do!

Me, too. I'm running a Survivor over on the Rumours forum now, & I can barely work up the energy to finish compiling the results & start the new round. I'm bored out of my skull with it.

Is this the only game it's possible to play on a message board?
I think we should not bother with all these Survivor games. We should instead conduct polls for whether to play as-yet-unformulated Survivor games.

I just got really excited when I saw a Stevie photo in someone's sig. I think it was Kimberly/CreepingDeath. She has a photo of Stevie taken by Jim Welander, & Jim Welander is, as you know (or maybe you don't), the greatest photographer of concert Stevie in this, our life.

JIM, WHERE ARE YOU??!! PLEASE COME BACK TO THE LAND OF THE INTERNET LIVING!! PLEASE SELL YOUR PHOTOS OR POST THEM FOR ALL TO SEE & IDOLIZE!!

I bow down, my nose scraping along the ground, before the Camera God Jim Welander.

As I said in other thread, at least it will be interesting to see who is lame enough to want to participate (no offense, Hawkeye, I know you are intelligent, I still hold out hope that you will see the light! Resist the lameness, my friend! Stop now and maintain your dignity!)

I can see them all now. "Oh like my friend is so cool and smart, I love reading her posts, I always agree, she is such an asset for the Ledge, she makes my day bright - [insert name here] is boring, and likes stupid songs, and annoys me, and even if I did like her she is just so much less cool tham my awesome friend!"

To me, people aren't "lame." They're "funky."

that gives me a better idea for a ledgie game. Give a description of another ledgie, & other ledgies have to guess whom you're talking about. Whoever guesses correctly gets to post the next description.

Aw, how nice.

But unfortunately I see far more lameness than funk around.

I can see this going sour too, either that or becoming unbearably fawning. Probably the latter, admittedly, unless someone is acting out a vendetta. But I shudder to think of all the kissy face smileys that will be employed in such a project. I think I shall again proceed to gag.

I wouldn't vote and wouldn't like to be on the list but I'd campaign for others even if unrequested. . J/K.

Romy

P.S I don't think it would be a great idea to have a Ledgie survivor. It could become easily a passive/aggressive machine, IMO.

I don't think that's true at all personally.

But anyway I still don't think it's a good idea.

Yes, explanations make everything much more fun and precise.
