Hahahahaha.

What songs just grate my nerves?

AC/DC: Thunderstruck. the one single song that just leaps to mind.

Anything and everything by Phil Collins, Mariah Carey, Ashlee Simpson, Reuban Stoddard and that whole ilk of Idolers (except for Kelly Clarkson - guilty pleasure).

Oh, and I agree about that Barbie Girl song.

There are many more, but that's what I can come up with off the top of my head.

I Love ABBA. Someday, when my dreams all come true, and I've won the largest lottery jackpot in history, I will pay to reunite ABBA for one, and only one concert. In my backyard.

I'd rather mangle Europe than ABBA. ABBA's got "Dancing Queen." That was great until A*Teens ruined it.

Who can resist a song with these lyrics?

"He starts to shake and cough
Just like the old man in
That book by Nabakov"

I guess someone can.

Thank you! Frampton should definitely be on my list. You can throw the Eagles in there too.

I love a lot of bands from the 70's though.

Fleetwood Mac (obviously)
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Black Sabbath
Deep Purple
Aerosmith
AC/DC with Bon Scott

etc........

apparently you were born LATER, and didnt have to suffer thru the late 50's early 60's music, so you dont appreciate the good old time rock and roll offered by Frampton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc...believe me, they are classics. the fact that contemporary artists are still trying to "cover" them tells me there are plenty of fans still out there....

You're right. For the most part "good old time" rock and roll makes me gag. It needs to be pissed off or depressing.

I've heard plenty of Frampton and Skynard, but they do nothing for me.

"Over and Over", I believe is the song, and I can wholeheartedly echo the annoyance of it. My mom (of ALL people) loves that song, and will turn it up when it's on. That's when I retreat to my Stevie CDs, usually
