Songs you hate but others love

[dissention]

I Sing For the Things
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You
Sister Honey
After the Glitter Fades
Ghosts
Two Kinds of Love
All of her Tango songs
Most of Street Angel
Love Is
That Made Me Stronger
Too Far From Texas
Sweet Girl
Angel

"Straight Back" is my least favorite Stevie song. It is just too melodramatic and over the top for me. It has this opera-like effect that I don't care for. Yet, I love "Beauty and the Beast," which is similar in effect. Go figure?

The Highwayman
Sable on Blonde
Wild Heart
Nothing Ever Changes
Gate and Garden
Rock a Little
Whole lotta Trouble
Blue Denim
Too Far From Texas

Imagine that. This coming from someone who's favorite song is Alice.

To each his/her own.

Those songs just flat out bore me. I wish Wild heart would have been more like the Dressing room rehearsal I love that so much.

I know my roles very well, thank you. It's just none of them have to do with you.

Alice is an amazing song. I love cranking this to max. volume when I'm driving. When she screams "Aaaaaallllllllliiiiiiiccccccceee!!!!!!!" at the end of the song, I just love it! I don't see why AliceLover and I are like the only ones that appreciate this song. "Better run for your life says the madhatter" I love those lyrics and the way she sings them. Sigh... I guess I'm the only one!

I'm also a HUGE fan of this song (just ask AliceLover) but I much prefer the live version. I did not like the album version but I went crazy when I heard the live version and now I'm totally in love with it. So underappriciated, so sad. I LOVE YOU ALIIIIICCCCCEEEEEEE!! And the lyrics I love:

"Oh no, you cannot tell a gypsy...ooh, that she's no longer a member
Become a deadly weapon now...along with everything else
Oh call my name...

Some carry a stiletto in their garter along with everything else --
that they carry...Oh, call my name..."

I'm an Alice lover too. Is there a place I can get the live version?

I agreee with Sapphire Sister. The album version just doesn't do justice. As we all know on some of the OSOTM shows she wasn't so hot, but when she was good she was really good. I think my favorite part is the chorus and I love the back up vocals. I have too many love versions to count.

I like:

"Well I Heard she flew down from the Mountain City"
"Each had their own charm, in beneath, a solid piece of armour"
"Alright says Alice Im goin back to the Other side of the Mirror"

and of course

"Like Alice through the Lookingglass she used to Know who she was"

I found it amazing how she compared her life to Alice in wonderland. And that Line is so sad to me.
