Default Troubled with Shangri-La
I am not a fan of TISL. What is wrong with me? I read all these great threads on the CD, but I just dont get it. My favorite song on the CD is actually Everyday Help

I think it has some great songs, but it's the cold and metallic processing of her voice that I simply cannot tolerate.

This situation may require electroshock therapy. And a few other psychiatric/musical interventions I am simply not qualified to administer.

Perhaps vitamins and exercise would be beneficial.

Default I agree with Dissention...
I bought it, I listen to it, I like it....but the voice is just a little to metallic sounding for my liking. Almost as if its Stevie-by-numbers without the emotion. I'm sure its the production tho, not Stevie as her voice is still in GREAT shape!!!

I have to say I hate it as well but I can get over it a little - but not much.

EVERYDAY That song is so danme BLAH. TISL as a whole isnt really a favorite of mine. The title song has got to be one of her top 3 solo songs EVER. Fall From Grace, Bombay Saphires and Sorcerer are all amazing songs too. Of course there's also some real crap like umm Everyday and Love Changes and That Made me Stronger and a favorite of many that I hate is Planets of the Universe.
