I guess when it comes to reading Stevie I read her from a viewpoint that assumes a certain volume of information acquired across a long period of time. Everyone has come across their info differently and at different times. Many assumptions can be valid. I try to apply Ackham's Razor to most things I make assumptions about. Problem with that is nothing with Stevie is simple or obvious unless, like me, you think Stevie has been hiding in plain sight all along.

Speaking of everyone getting rid of I need to know...I don't think you want to wish that to go away...she sang it pretty much like red rocks where she throws out her hands and she yelled out "WELLITHINKYOUSHOULDKNOW!!!!"

It was good...
She screamed out the take your violet and blue (but it only came onto the mic at) mornings with you!

Okay, I got sick of reading so I read up until page 13. I didn't see anyone that said they took pictures, but I took a bunch so I will post those and a review in a little bit.

Waddy talks a bit about the Stones and wanting to be a real rocker right here. It will not let me copy and paste but if you go down to almost the end you will see what I mean. Waddy did not want anything to to with 'velvet fountains" he was a Street Fighting Man.

She did have boots on last night for Rock and Roll and BATB.......When she walked off the stage during BATB I saw them from the back--you could also see that she still had her pants on under her BATB robe

As for pix........well they didn't check anyone which was cool. I was so worried about that because someone posted about metal detectors-didn't see any...... I wish I would have known because I would have brought more than one camera with me. Okay--about my camera--I must have taken over 200 pix in the last week to figure the darn thing out (special scene modes, focus lock, etc. etc.) and my photos still didn't turn out the best

I'm about ready to throw the darn thing against the wall!! Okay--so it might be my fault because I was so excited and nervous and they seemed to be letting everyone take photos--I was just in Heaven!! I probably was shaky and I know I forgot to the focus lock thingy

Digitals cameras are just too complicated--whatever happened to press the button and go!!

But I've got the settings down pretty good so I don't know really what I did wrong. I know I forgot to zoom--which my husband was like--Ummmm--zoom in a little!! So when I did that they turned out a little nicer......I swear she knew when I was going to take a photo though--because she either moved, turned away, or closed her eyes.......I have a few that are like--okay--that would have been awesome if her darn eyes were open!!! Well during HAEWAFY I believe--security starting yelling at people--we got told to put them away!! So chicken me didn't even try again after that--so long story short--I missed the pants (AGAIN!!), I missed Edge (but I did get to shake her hand again and my friend next to me gave her a bracelet which she grabbed so fast and slipped on her wrist!! ha ha), and I also missed BATB (AGAIN!!!) I'm beginning to think I should just hang it up and forget about pictures--seriously!! I just get so stressed out about it all and I get so upset when they turn out like crap!! And I am seriously looking into buying that other camera again that I mentioned that I took back a while ago...... I guess I'm lucky I got at least a couple nice shots.........I'm going to try and post them again if I can figure out how..... My friend Shel helped me last time but this time I have 34 pix so I don't know if she will help me again!!

I'll figure something out though...... And Sorcerer should definitely STAY!! I'm sorry--but I just LOVE that song--that and the pants were probably the highlight of my night--oh and also Circle Dance--although I was waiting for someone to harmonize with her ala Henley.........

Thanks for the review. I couldn't go through all the pages, but I just had to comment on the digital camera thing. I had the same kind of trouble when I went to the Henley/Nicks show in Philly, only I was too far away probably. I've been trying to get some tips on taking digital pictures at concerts, so if anyone has any tips, please feel free to post. For instance, they say that you shouldn't have flash on because you wind up taken pictures of the backs of people's heads. (This was me.) But the problem with this is you have to keep the camera steady or the pic will blur.

And you can't use a tripod at a concert. They say to try to steady the camera against yourself using your elbows or look in the viewfinder as this will steady the camera more. I, too, have a lot of modes & settings on my camera that are driving me crazy to learn. I have a concert coming up this Thursday & I want to take some good pictures. So I've been practicing on my dog in the house with the different settings

Luckily he doesn't mind getting his picture taken.

That is soooo funny!! Actually the photos I took last night I did use flash and I had way better results than last time.... I just can't keep the camera still without the flash..... we were in the first row so heads weren't an issue..... On the other hand--me forgetting to zoom in on the first like 10 pix was an issue

I got a kick out of your post though because I practiced like crazy on my cats this week!! Unfortunately my cats don't move as fast as Stevie

And the thing that really ticked me off is that I couldn't take a blurry picture at home using the automatic mode--yet they were still blurry at the show--I don't get it...... unless its because I was so excited like I said and forgot about the focus lock

So that would be my one little tip--don't forgot about the focus lock!!! But when you are trying to hide a camera it is hard to be able to just take your time.......and when it comes to Stevie and front row my brain just kind of went numb--seriously!! I knew that camera like the back of my hand but I almost forgot how to turn the darn thing on when I actually got there!! And then I was just clicking away--so slow down and think a little bit about what you are doing!! ha ha Of course then you miss half the shots like I did. And you know--I was all ready for the Stand Back kick--had her on the LCD screen--was ready to click and then--ARGHHHH!!! She moved out of my frame

So I missed it!! Stevie actually moves around a lot--very figgety like--but she was beautiful last night

Thanks. I've read that interview before and it just solidifies in my mind what I think she was talking about in that passage everyone uses to prove she and Waddy had a romance. If everything Waddy says in that interview is as sincere as I think it is, then I have no dobut about Waddy's place in Stevie's world. He's been around a long time and I think he's a very loyal and supportive friend. The part where he talks about quitting BN and wanting to play real rock n roll (Stones and stuff) not the velvet fountain ****...that is very meaningful. He goes on to say how he tried to talk somebody else into joining him in that pursuit (somebody who shared similar musical tastes and a desire to play real rock and not chick rock... hmmm? ) but he was not able to convince that player to leave with him. Yes, I'd say this interview with Waddy reveals a lot about his relationship with Stevie. It reveals a lot about what being on stage with her in her solo career has meant to her.

Where did he say that? He said that it bothered "him" meaning Waddy It did not seem to bother a certain other guy. Waddy was the Stones lover and real rocker and what would be the big deal if Stevie did ever love Waddy?

Yes, sometimes it just makes me want to use my automatic 35 mm camera with 800 speed film. You can get anybody racing around the stage with this. I've really been seriously thinking about bringing it with me for the show Thursday as a back up. I don't think this venue has any kind of restrictions on camera usage because I used the 35 mm camera at this venue when Blondie was there & the pictures came out great. Of course it helped that I was close, too.

Thanks for the tip about the focus lock. I have practiced with this, too. You know what they say, practice makes perfect.
