Don't count your chickens too quickly, there. Bush COULD still appoint him to the post without Senate approval when Congress is in recess. I wouldn't put it past Shrub to do something like that.

It will be interesting if he does. The common thought is he will not because it will show that he cannot get anything done and most or at least many do not support Bolton, including some in his own party. But, he has a large set - so he may do it. I hope not though as Bolton is not a diplomat and that is what is required at the UN.

My hunch is that he'll do a lot of stuff when Congress is on break. This administration defines Orwellian!
