You are once again missing my point. I think that the poor should get all the help we can give. That is why I said no tax on the first $30,000 of income - which clearly addresses that problem But, I fail to see how a 20% total cap on all taxes in any way hurts the poor, esp. if wasteful spending is stopped. So, stop talking about me saying the poor should not get help, etc., or that I differ with you on that point. I do not.

You willing to help pay for their healthcare? You willing to help them put food on the table for their kids? You willing to start calling for an end to these offensive welfare laws? Don't make them pay taxes, that sounds wonderful. But what about the other stuff? Raise taxes on the rich and start implementing more services for the poor with those funds.

I do not think it requires raising taxes and am a little taken aback that you automatically assume it does. Have you ever looked into wasteful govt. spending. I have and it sickens me to know that all of the money we all give essentially goes to promote that. So, I say stop that first and we'll see how much money the govt. really needs to help everyone. But, to make anyone pay 70% of what they make is insane, which is not the same as saying the poor do not deserve every beak they can get.

That's what I hate the most. The fat cats living off the backs of the little guys. Getting millions of dollars a year while the little guy has no health insurance and in all likelihood works harder (e.g. Walmart). It seems that people in senior management of corporations do not feel that they need to try to take care of the people that keep them flush.

Because the people in charge do not police themselves. But if a light were shone brightly on this then maybe we could force change. Embarrass them into reforming their rediculous spending.
