I think I will probably still work in some capacity as long as I am able. However, I realize that is a luxury and my choice. Certainly, we can come up with a better solution than this.

What I don't understand. The majority of the public can't tell you why popcorn works, and how to set the clocks on their VCRS......and they want them to invest their retirement funds themselves? I see an opportunity for scammers to take most of the money and alot of broke, homeless, old folks. And more cash being spent on social services, than would be used to get social security back up. Yes, I know you aren't suppose to use Social Security as your only source of income when you get older....But most do.

Get rid of the income cap of 90,000 for paying into it. Those making over that will still contribute the standard percentage of their pay to Social Security.

I will also always work as long as I am able. It keeps you fulfilled and happy to feel like a contributing member of society. Hopefully it will be in a part time capacity and only doing something I LOVE.

There is some evidence that getting rid of the cap by itself will significantly help. But, the R's and D's will NEVER do that until they have to. Sad - very true.
