Protecting our borders?

[ShangriLaTroubl]

Republicans really wanna fight the war on terror, and protect us huh?

Well even though the Byrd Amendment No. 516 passed 65 to 34, which was an amendment to increase funding for border security - ALL 34 voting NAY were Republicans, isn't that a coincidence???

Another amendment passed with 96 to 4 votes to raise Veterans medical care by $410,000,000 by 2006 ---the 4 voting NAY, were of course Republicans..

Is this a pattern or what

just curious:
was this in the mainstream media?
because I think it needs to be shouted from the rooftops.

Not that I know of...I found this by doing as I do often, looking through Senate voting records

Don't even get me started. They are pro-life, yet the support war and want to ban stem cell research. Do people not see how hypocritical they are?? It is disgusting

Same with the situation in Sudan. It gets barely any coverage.

British equipment was used also. It matters not whether they're repressive regimes, join the war on terror and your buddies in the US will prop up and arm them to slaughter their own civilians.

Here's one article but f*ck, that pisses me off so much that this is not bigger news.

Oh that's horrible, Lux. I hate that we don't know about these things. I hate how it's apparently assumed that we just don't care and wouldn't want to read about it. Thank you for the link.
