Thanks for the pics! My favorite is #6 because it looks like she's sticking out her tongue
P.S. do you guys remember Stevie always use to bite her lip? It was so cute. How come she doesn't do that anymore? I haven't seen her do that since the 80's.

Accent? What? I do NOT have an accent! I don't know what you're talking about!

Amber & Theresa will beg to differ - they claim I say the word "accent" with an accent.

YESSSSSS! Saw it too. She was even playing seductively with the ribbons and I am SURE she was listening to something or someone talking into her right ear because out of no where she would smile and lean into her shoulder and talk. I thought she was losing her mind. The left was the sound board. (could be the other way around)

I was in Las Vegas for the Opening of "Dreams" at Ceasars Palace. I was so thrilled as I am a Vegas Native traveling from Los Angeles back to my home town to support Stevie.I was excited after hearing the Jim Ladd Interview that she was going all out in this Venue to create an evening never seen before. In the Interview she spoke of "pulling out old songs never or rarely performed live"..maybe Storms..maybe Sisters Of The Moon..maybe Highwayman..old Video Clips playing behind her...vintage costumes from past tours..and major production..taking full advantage of the huge IMAX Screens used currently by Celine & Elton. There were also several Interviews Stevie gave to local radio stations saying that "Talk To Me is my favorite Video and I intend to open the show with it."
Unfortunately none of the above occured.
Stevie was wonderful as always! She was in good voice despite dodging many high notes.
The set was brief..and there were really no surprises for anyone who follows her solo set lists.
The Highlights were If Anyone Falls..were she used a brief ballet clip from the video and her Finale of Beauty & The Beast..(her best performance of the evening). She had a cool opening clip from I Can't Wait Video..(breaking through the wall). Other than that 90% of the show
was her usual set list. She was only shown once on the large screen towards the end..which I found odd..I would have preferred to see her than the psycadelic projections behind her through most of the show. She did not spin at all..not even on Stand Back..not one. No Boots. And she never even mentioned anything about being in Las Vegas. There were no new or old costumes. Only black. Lori looked and sounded amazing as did the whole band!!! It was great to see Waddy Wachtel up there again! I have seen every Stevie solo & FM show..I love, admire and respect her tremendously and always will. It seemed thrown together very fast. What was promised and what was delivered were two different things.

Wednesday's show was better. She was more relaxed...way more relaxed..there was a bit of twirling and a high kick during SB. I thought the stage looked pretty steep and perhaps that was why she did not twirl as much. She was shown on the video screens throughout the show on Wed and for the rest of the week. I have some good photos of it but cannot figure out how to post them.

BTW...she discussed opening with TTM for TISL....it did not happen either. Vocally that song is really challenging for her and frankly, I never thought she would go there. IMHO, the new songs she did add made up for the lack of TTM. The venue had a 90 minute limit and on the set list a friend of mine was lucky enough to get..the show was like 88 minutes long. So..that left her very little time to change her clothes. I would rather have more singing than her spending the valuable minutes going backstage to change her dress or throw on a boa. I would have liked a hat or two though! I chalk alot of it up to nerves, lack of time to prepare and some unreasonable expectations by people.

I guess you missed the white skirt in Edge of 17? Or the all white outfit during I Need to Know? I dont think it's fair to say it was ALL BLACK...She also wore the cool (yes black) outfit, over the white skirt for Beauty and the Beast..had her hair pulled up in a number of songs...

And not to be picky...lol..but the black outfit she wore in Vegas for most songs is actually DIFFERENT than the one she has worn on previous tours, especially the stand back cape esque skirt which has white rhinestones, or dots on it......and thank GOD she's not wearing that black dress from the SYW Tour that has the little "worms" as I call it on the skirt? Do you all know what I'm talkin about ?

Chris

Yes Chris... i don't ever want to see her in that dress again.. not so much that it was a bad dress, but the fact that she wore the damn thing every single night on the first leg of the SYW tour.. as if it was her manditory uniform or something...
