Exclamation Well...

went to see the doctor yesterday, Had X-Rays done, But nothing was broken/fractured in my foot...So my toe is not broken

Had blood work performed to see if the uric acid level in my blood was high, Which is normal, So I do not have gout either ("Doogie" thought I may have it, But the uric acid level proves I dont), so now I may have some severe arthritic disorder starting to form

I am now taking anti-inflammatory for whatever I have that has caused my toe problem, I was also prescribed anti-anxiety medicine since I am stressed out...Anxiety is most likely what is causing the tightness in my chest.

Well, it's good to know that it doesn't seem to be cardiac, Brian. Stress can do funny things to your body.

The toe thing - kind of strange, but it doesn't sound too serious. More annoying than anything.

I just wanted to bump this thread, and see what everyone is doing. Strangely, it actually was motivating for me. Guess i don't like everyone else losing weight and not me!!!
Anyway, today I walked to the store and back, rode my bike to Berkeley and back, and jumped rope (only for 25 mins. this time, though, my calves kept cramping! ). My calves are already starting to look great (I have this thing with calves, I like them muscley.) later I'll do some sit ups and arm things, as I have a thing with arms, too.
anyone else? anything to share? I'm down a couple lbs, but it could be from my SOTM leaving...

Yesterday I did a local walk for the American Heart Association. It was supposed to be four miles but was cut down to 2.2 due to heavy rain. It was down on the Cape in a nice part and so was very beautiful and enjoyable. I managed to raise $313 for the cause!

However, I also managed to consume some wine, boy was it good. It was really sunny in the afternoon so I walked around and took some pictures too. Tonite it's back to the gym!

I am still doing the gym. Did weights on Sat (ala David's recommendation) and holy cow was I sore! Felt good, though. I am slacking on abs, I always forget to do them until right after I eat (puke) or when I'm in bed for the night & don't want to get out of said warm bed & onto cold floor for crunches.

Meals - eh. I did well with points last week. Thurs was my birthday so I cheated a bit. The weekend was so-so - I wasn't strict, but I didn't gorge either. I had some self control. Back to counting today.

I will be weighing myself today at work, so here's hoping! I must have lost something - my watch is very loose all of a sudden. And of course, my wrists were a real probelm area for me . I wish my ass would go down that fast.

It was a nice weekend so my husband and I cleaned out the garage on Saturday (a workout--I assure you). We live on a little dead end street that ends at a creek, so we all took a walk along the creek on Sunday. And as of today I'm down a couple pounds!

Also this weekend I tried Dissention's snack suggestion of toasted pita bread spread with hummus and topped with chopped tomato and cucumber. It was lovely! So thanks, Diss!

But that could totally be the case I stopped measuring myself in terms of weight lost and have been focusing more on lean body mass bmi or whatever - I don't know they measure that stuff at the gym -

great! yay! And weights will work. They're a very important part of any workout routine. If your concerned about bulking and tightness - Yoga can help a lot with that. Yoga is a good part of any workout routine, as well. I mean, I always did weights. I'm kinda bulky anyway, but I liked it. It really does burn tons more calories.

I was in Florida (Orlando over the weeked) with my brother at this convention. Let me just put it this way - I was wined and dined every MINUTE of the day and now feel porcine. So - back the gym TODAY!!!!!!

I do like Yoga - I haven't been in a while...but I keep meaning to go to Yoga classes

I am actually not too afraid of getting bulky - I'm actually really excited about this new way of doing things - I had really reached a plateau with my last workout regime - and this seems to have really kicked things into high gear...

And tonight? I can do MORE cardio becaue I know I don't have to do any weights afterward

I know, I used to measure inches at Curves - I really should start again.

I know it's working, I see my usual little signs (my watch is too big, muscles & blood vessels in my arms are more pronounced, my clothes are fitting better, etc.) But I was so excited when I got on the scale, sure that I had lost at least 2 or 3 pounds.

I will NOT get discouraged!
