IT'S HIS COUSIN! Or at least I think so. On the 10-13-82 boot of Baton Rouge before NGBA Lindsey says 'Hi to a cousin Greg here tonight, Greg Buckingham"
That might explain it. Of course I have no idea how old he is or anything about him but we do know that Lindsey does have a cousin with that same name.
I have to say that I think I posted about LB's NGBA statement before in another thread a while ago. Now, it is all starting to make sense.

We need a Lindsey Q&A more then ever!

That is interesting - how odd this person didn't bother to list the most famous descendent!

I thought the same thing. I just think that they did not get as far as the 5th generation of Buckinghams yet.

can be a fun trip...You may find some interesting things at the least suspecting moment:

Example-My older sister Lesa found our Mother (Lesa was put up for adoption back in 1963...She has been searching for years for her Mother) by pure accident in January of this year when she signed up for a genealogical website on yahoo to research info on her 'biological' Mother's family who were from Oklahoma.

As she did research Lesa asked the webmistress for a bit of help, Not knowing she would be in for the shock of her life...The webmistress seemed to 'remember' a woman who was very similar to Lesa's birth Mother who had put 2 daughters up for adoption, But she decided to get some info for Lesa about this woman (ie-Mother's maiden name and the reported family history that DHS was able to provide since adoption records in OK are almost always sealed on a permanent basis) who may be Lesa's biological Mother, All the while this webmistress did not know that she definetly knew her...The webmistress was, at one time, married to Lesa's biological Mother's older brother for years (She had 3 boys with him-Tony, Donnie & Scott) and the rest was history (Thanks Aunt Judy...ya frikkin' rule!!!)

I don't know if that is the same person however. I am even more confused. I know that Lindsey's Dad did have a brother that was married but I don't know if he had any kids or what their names would be.
As I look at that family tree I see that Lindsey's grandfather did have a brother that might have lived in Baton Rouge so maybe he had a kid named Greg.
It does seem odd to me that 2 brothers would name their kids the same name. Maybe the Greg mentioned on the Baton Rouge boot was Lindsey's great uncle's son. Or maybe there are 3 Greg Buckingham's in the same family.

That was pretty neat. Does anyone else see a really strong family resemblance to LB in the photo of Walter Holmes Buckingham Sr? And also check out the photo of Ione Morris-- the child next to her looks just like a baby photo of Lindsey-- I think it's the 1st photo on Nancy's site.

I'm into little things like that.
