Did anyone else see Kirstie Alley on Larry King last night talking about this show?
She said she owed back taxes and was basically doing the show for the money because her Cheers money is gone. WTF?

I don't buy it. She's not as wealthy as she once was because of that prince Stevens she married who literally stole her from her, but she's not hurting for any money. She still gets hefty checks from Cheers' syndication runs the last I read and she supposedly hit it big when she invested in MP3.com and bailed right after making $40 million.

As for Fat Actress, I thought it was a riot. The bit about "purging in style" had me rolling on the floor.

I just wonder if it's going to Scientology.

I wouldn't be surprised. Here's a quote from the new TV Guide with Kirstie on the cover (and looking fabulous, might I add):

"When I walked into the doors of the Church of Scientology a full-fledged cokehead, I had one session and I never did or had the urge to to do cocaine again in my life. If I hadn't become a Scientologist, I'd be banging back Zoloft so that I'd feel better about being fat at parties."

MY ASS. They've got her brainwashed and are probably in control of her finances. Notice she made no mention whatsoever of Narconon.

I wish you'd seen the Larry King interview. I just don't know what to make of it.

Did they post a transcript? Knowing CNN, they'll probably rerun it on Saturday like they do with all their celebrity interviews, though.

Here's the part I was talking about:
ALLEY: I had depression for about 10 days -- well, I'll call it depression. But I'll call more humiliation. I -- one day I woke up and I went -- well, I owed the IRS some money -- my accountant and myself had made a little error, like, a decimal point. And I went, oh my God, now I'm going to be poor, old, and I'm fat. OK. I am done.

So I stayed in the bed under my covers, except for when my kids would come home from school, I'd be like, hey, how you doing? Good to see you. How did you do in school today? But when they were gone, I was just -- I was just hiding. And then one day and I went -- I just woke up, and that's when I created the show.

KING: Really, coming out of that?

ALLEY: I just said, you know what? You either throw in the towel or you know -- and you know, I used to have this option sitting there -- this is so sick, but I'll tell you. OK.

I had this option sitting there when -- you know, if you don't want to act anymore, you don't want to do this, you can marry a billionaire. It's so -- I know, that's so sick. But then I went, OK, you're fat. You're not going to get a billionaire. Billionaires don't want fat girls. So then I was freaking out because I was like, OK, if you don't want to work anymore and the billionaire's out, what the hell are you going to do? So I freaked out. And then I thought, Do you want the billionaire? I thought, Maybe but later. OK. But I do -- I know that I still want to act and I still want to work. So that's when I got creative.

I saw that too and was really suprised. But on the other hand, I was watching a bio on E! about her, and she was extremely extravagant when she was married to Parker Stevenson. I don't really know much about though. So....
