For a child to pass every grade, pass every class, fail that one bloody test and then get a "certificate of completion" instead of a diploma is abhorrent.

It punishes the students. I got a good education and didn't have to take it. Of course I'm also very bright.

I'm not that smart lol - I just pretend to be haha....no but really - the math part - you had this long word problem (bad enough in itself) - then you had to show your work - which makes sense and is normal....but THEN you had to write a step by step analysis of how you arrived at an asnwer...

Now it would take me days to do this now - but a 6th grader!?! AND - what the hell is the step by step analysis about - isn't that what showing your work is for - it shows how the answer was obtained.....

I am SO glad I'm not in school any more

Of course murder is awful. However, white collar crime of the Enron/Tyco/Worldcom brand is worse. Look at the thousands and thousands of people whose lives were ruined because of the sleaziness of a few corporate scumbags. "We know what we're doing and we're going to rip off our employees and shareholders and ruin their lives and we don't care." That is pure evil- because it's methodical and completely cold blooded and calculated, whereas most murders are in the heat of the moment.

Murder can be just as cold and calculating. Hiring a hitman to murder your spouse...very calculating.

I just don't see human life and stealing cash on the same level. Sorry. I'd rather lose my job than my life.

Me too. Obviously, evil corporations make many people's lives more difficult than they already are, but at least they still have their lives and can pick up the pieces and move on.
