Sounds just like the way the band members of FM and their management handled things with their fanclub

Ahhhh, so that was what that was all about. Larry Mullin rocks.

(You'll probably want to turn your speakers waaaaaay down, though!)

That Babs woman looks like Linda Blair from The Excorcist.

She performed at the FM convention that was held in Austin in '91. It was, shall we say, "interesting?" But what really freaked me out was after she was done, she was walking around in the crowd - and the way she dealt with people was very strange, like she thought she WAS Stevie. It was very unsettling....

Wait, I may have seen her too. Was she at the Dallas show two summers ago when I met you?

Not enough, obviously.

Yes.

Eeeew, she was? I don't think I saw her, she's pretty hard not to notice though.

He started a post about the new Ronald "I was a lead actor for 8 years in a TV show 'President of the USA' " Reagan stamp on an "Gossip" thread...Big mistake, Ya should leave that for the "War Room" thread...

He even posted something about wanting to see nude picts of Cher, to which I replied "How could a former Ledgie ask for nude Cher picts?"

Wow, that's cool that you BIL got that wine for you guys! This site really is the best and of course Mick should do his QA here. I would LOVE for Lindsey to do one, but wouldn't we all? Thanks for everything you do for the fans!

I forgot about how Mick announced that Q&A right after we announced John's, that was sort of funny! Someone over there was checking things out over here.

I think we'll get some more from John eventually. Maybe it's more fun for him in small doses. He knows all those questions are sitting here waiting....and I think he did get a kick out of doing it.

Actually on this note of Mick knowing about our site, there's something I keep forgetting to mention: My brother in law worked for a hotel in NY, the hotel where Mick and partner etc stayed when they were in the city promoting Mick's wine (the Hyatt, was it? My BIL is somewhere else now.) My BIL- David Adelson-had a chance to speak w/ a guy in Mick's entourage, and told him "My brother and his wife run a big FM site--Marty Adelson, he runs The Penguin."

The guy perked right up. "The Penguin?! We love that website! We were just talking the other day about fan sites and that one was in the top three!" (I suppose this means 2 are better than us but I can handle that LOL, I know we don't update or market stuff as much as we could...and there are some other great sites out there.) So anyway the guy actually returned to my BIL later w/ a bottle of wine that Mick had signed-- "To Marty, love Mick Fleetwood." I should take a picture of it and show you guys, it's in a nice case in our kitchen above the computer, w/ some other FM stuff.

My BIL did meet Mick briefly, said he was a BIG guy, very imposing, strong handshake. So anyway I'd like to think that Mick know who we are...?

And on the off chance that Mick reads this, the Adelsons say thanks for the wine.

Yeah, she's a real piece of work. She sent me a postcard with Stevie's image on it out of the blue to my work address. This was way back in the day when I was naive and actually signed up to an email list with my work address. Things got weirder when she sent me a copy of a Stevie family photo where she is wearing no makeup and it obviously wasn't meant for fans. I'm glad I didn't trust her though cuz she really screwed a lot of people which I managed to avoid. I cannot believe she is still out there. :shudder:

Well, who knew you were having so much fun over there! As soon as I got screwed by the presale I was outta there. I was so upset with them that I wanted nothing to do with the site. But I missed all this fun!
