Cough Drops contianing zinc can allow you to sing when you cannot. I know - I have used them

Gargle salt water. That is the recommended thing to do.

That works very well too - but zinc works the best as far as I am concerned. I have gone from being unable to speak outside of a hoarse whisper to full voice with zinc.

I've tried that and all it does, for me at least, is soothe my sore throat. Doesn't help me to sing much. I like to drink a little orange juice and then down a little olive oil. Works amazingly.

I hardly ever get to the point where I can't sing because I know how to sing properly and take care of my voice, but honey and tea only soothes my voice, doesn't really open it up and loosen it much. Spinach does, though, but I hate spinach.

especially spinach/artichoke quesadillas...Yum!

Nothing can help my throat as of late (Had another choking attack last night) except for another surgery, Which seems inevitable

She doesn't seem to have the knowledge to have sought out those particular drops, I'm sure she went straight for the Vicks.
