again, though, i've never seen the whole movie. And the original irritated me, in that way that "Bewitched" irritated me. Here's the pic I have of Miss Kinski, from that movie: Looks lovely, here. And I have to say, I really enjoyed "Hotel New Hampshire", the book, and the movie, and the affair between Jodi and Nastassia. I, personally, think she is exceptionally beautiful.

Hey, there has to be a reason why Roman Polanski sought her out, right?

I LOVED The Parent Trap and The Trouble with Angels - the latter with the incomparable Rosalid Russell as the Mother Superior introducing withh glee and pride the sisters and the subjects they taught until she gets to the rather flighty looking sister so and so - who she intriduces with obvious disapproval and in a deadpan only Rosilnd Russell could muster - "this is Sister so so and so - ART"

I have a huge thing for Lesley Ann Warren, so it's only natural that I love Clue. That movie never fails to make me laugh my ass off.

I don't think Meryl is very good at comedies, either.

Well, I'd rate Ishtar higher than Adam Sandler movies, you couldn't get me to watch one of his if you promised me a night of wild sex with one of my crushes. He's so putrid and untalented that I want to barf.

I like Meryl in comedies, though. She Devil, Death Becomes Her, Adaptation, etc. I like her in them.

Both are favorites of mine, but the book is better. The movie is a ****ing mess. It's so clumsy and ill thought out. By the halfway mark, almost everyone dies and the remaing few move into a hotel with socialist terrorists.

It happens so clumsily in the film that it's unbelievable. Irving books don't translate well to the screen, IMO. He's too dark and twisted to really capture. Hotel New Hampshire has rape, incest, suicide, lesbianism, terrorists and the like, yet the movie doesn't know what to do with any of it.

She was great as Suzie the Bear, though.

She's bloody fabulous. I'll even see crappy movies if she's in them. I can't believe she didn't get the Oscar for Victor/Victoria. She's my favorite Cinderella, too.
