Default The fan club

Just curious, I want to know how many of us. Obviously just mark if the answer is yes.

I was a member the first year, but I found it wasn't worth it to renew. Yeah, I know this has been commented dozens of times, but I waant to have a number of ledgie members, jsut for curious.

Oops! That's what I get for being in a hurry... I clicked that I was a fanclub member, which I'm not.

I didn't join this fanclub, since I'm still a "lifetime member" of the 1990 fanclub.
They're WAY behind on their quarterly newsletters though!

Do you mean to tell me that Mick TOOK your money, and didn't keep up his end of the bargain?

I'm not a member and don't ever plan on being one. I received my calender for Christmas. I had decent seats to every concert I went to except one (which my parents bought the ticket for me as a gift and had no idea what they were doing) and I was even front row for one and was able to shake Stevie's hand and get Lindsey's autograph.

Default money through the toilet

I was a member. Wasted money. I got a crappy ticket through the club for OKC. Had to sell it with 85% off just before the show. I got a MUCH better ticket though ticketmaster later on in the presales.

the only thing I got which was satisfying was that black vintage penguin T-shirt which I already wore to pieces.

Default club fans

well, I joined for the exclusivity of some items dispite my resentment of paying for the right to buy. The only thing I have purchased in that realm has been a platinum package to a show in Atlantic City 9/10/04. I got the wrong size t-shirt (come on, people, how hard is it to get the right size t-shirt?), a backstage tour of essentially nothing....no dressing rooms or anything of that nature....and a promise for a signed tourbook. I have yet to recieve this tourbook. When I call fanfire, I get stonewalled with lies, excuses, etc. this was back in september for crying out loud. I gave them some advice....never promise something that you donnot have to give....all this did was rake open those wounds from the fraud of the '98 AHI benefit. I may get legal advice on this....I am going to get personal with this if need be.

Gads it's tought to type angry and sad...I hope this didn't seem too manic

Me too -- 21 years later.

EDIT: I keep forgetting it's 2005, so make that 22 years!

What happened in 98? Was that when Stevie wouldn't greet anyone?

I think you should sue the fuuck out of them. Backstage big deal! I never would of pay anything to go backstage anywhere, esp if you knew before hand you wouldnt be meeting anyone. If you have been backstage at one show, you have been backstage to them all.

I remember reading the fan club "promises" and thinking there is enough wiggle room here for them to sell you a ticket in the back row and justify it with their vague wording. I also remember thinking that too many people want the same 20 or so first three row tickets. But, I joined and appreciated the videos, Cory B.'s journal entires (esp.!!!!), and other things. I thought there could have been better and that the videos and stuff could have been better in that ONE could have La Nicks in it. And - some well knowns around here and some people I met at concerts got those first three row tickets. So, in the end - I cannot say they did not deliver what they promised because I knew what I was buying when I bought it
