If this gets released with that awful backwards metaphor intact it will ruin an otherwise decent song. This is one case where Stevie needs to change her lyrics no matter how pretty she thinks it sounds the way it is. It's not a matter of poetry. Nah. I have to say I prefer it the way she sang it, even if the metaphor is backwards.
'Sides, Alanis Morrisette wrote an entire song about irony and never once mentioned anything that was legitimately ironic. Yet, the song was still quite popular! (Ok, now maybe THAT'S ironic. )
