Yay Pattie! I'm a contractor at my firm and in the past we were uninvited to the holiday party. It used to be a large affair, but last year it was in the company lobby, I skipped it. However this year it was a really nice one at Lucky's. They had appetizers and beer and wine to your heart's content and a great band. It really was great and it lacked the pretensiousness of a black tie affair. I do like to get dressed up and clean up rather well IIDSSM, but this year things are very tight so buying a dress was not in the budget. Anyway, the party was quite nice, even though cash money would have been great.
