I? still can't believe I wrote that because I am the only person who doesn't mind blackdress. She can come onstage in a trashbag and i'd be like, aww beautiful Stevie in her trashbag!

I'd be like that too (hoping at least it would be a colored trashbag), but this thread is hilarious, kudos to all the authors!

Drab black sack...won't change with the decades
Or change with my weight...it's my fashion fate
It's always the same...it's glued to my frame
Drab sack...That Black dress
Drab sack...That Black Dress

I knew another way to dress
My fashion sense wasn't always a mess
Some days I'd wear cotton or suede
But this black dress I would not trade for jade
I turned away from the fashion police
This tired dress I will never release
You never thought I would still look the same
But I velcroed it on yesterday

chorus

Understanding style...understanding change
It isn't in my fashion range
Surrendering this dress...surrendering this mess
I'd rather dress like Sharon Gless

And I will never forget
The first time I saw it
A Morticia rag so rare
Like a frump-fest
No I will never forget
The first time I wore it
And Margi sewed on...my custom
Mic monitoooooor pouuuuuch...

Chorus

So I 'm going away for a shopping spree
If I remember where the mall is
And If I buy a new dress
I promise you...I might dare to wear it
Oh yes I'm going away on a shopping spree
If Sharon drives me to the boutique
And if I buy a new dress
I promise you
I might dare to wear it
I might dare to wear
I might dare to wear it
Oh yeah. That is my fave, too. I love the "Violet and Blue" and "Battle of the Dragon" ones, too. I greatly appreciate the resurrection of the black dress thread!

I'd like to see some color in her wardrobe, but in the grand scheme of things the black dress doesn't bother me that much... some how, some way, Stevie seems to pull off just about anything. (I'd like to stress that "just about." )

But the black dress song parodies rock.

Hate to tell you that your dress don’t slim.

Oh, if you wear that dress again
Oh, you’ll never look quite thin

Stevie, Stevie that dress is so bad
Buy a new one with the money you have
There’s just one thing I’d like you to know
You’ll look thinner when the black dress goes

Oh, don’t you wear that dress again!
Oh, you’re accenting your rear end.

Stevie, Stevie you’ve got some nice boobs
Lose the black dress, ditch the shoes
Wearing new shawls is such a good start
Chuck the black dress and soar off the charts

Oh, please don’t wear that dress again!
Oh, listen to us, cry the fans!
Love it!

To the tune of I Need To Know:

Talk on the town said you like to dress Hobo
A good friend of mine saw you leavin' by Margi's back door

It needs to go It needs to go
If you insist on wearing Blackdress, your fans will scream no
It needs to go It needs to go
Because we don't know how long
These ****ty parodies can go on
Ooh it needs to go It needs to go

Who would've thought you'd be concerned about cow thighs
All of sudden it's corsets 'round your stout size

It needs to go It needs to go
If you must wear that damned dress, the Frankenboks must go
It needs to go It needs to go
Because we don't know how long
The corset can stay strong
If you're looking for some bait
I've got Gucci at great rates
Ooh it needs to go It needs to go

Take your carbs and Thanksgiving pies with you!
