And Lindsey & Stevie DON'T clash? I think a Welch/Buckingham collaboration would be AWESOME. Just listen what Lindsey did with "Sentimental Lady" for Bob's French Kiss album...and then on the Tango album, "Mystified" is more than casually reminicent of Welch's "Safe Harbour" on Heroes.... I think they'd definitely challenge each other out of their 'comfort zones', that's for sure, but that kind of "clash" only seems to work for the better.

LOVE that idea. BUT aren't Rick and Bob a bit over qualified to be backing guitarists for LB. Billy Burnette maybe but no the other 2.

That is exactly the point...for them NOT to be just "backing guitarists", but to add some of their tunes to the mix, as well. I'm really not a fan of this "Buckingham Nicks" disguised as "Fleetwood Mac" charade....time for Fleetwood Mac to take their entire history into consideration. Not just from 1975 onwards. The better Fleetwood Mac albums have at least THREE songwriters (with only Mystery To Me as the exception).

I haven't seen much of LIB yet or heard much of it.
All I can say is that it has a much different sound... partially because live music changes every decade, but also because the backing musicians really change it. Without Chris, you've got Brett (who didn't even play parts correctly on The Dance) faking her parts. (Hire me for crying out loud!) As for what someone said about the Triton--he's using that as a contoller to get Rhodes sounds, Pianos, synth (Stand Back) and samples. Remember, Christine has been using a MIDI controller since Tango with a rack-load of modules... it's not too different, and it kind of makes sense. I also don't like what I've heard as far as the backup vocals. Particularly on Go Your Own Way, LIB... It's just terrible.

I'm sorry but I have to stand by that. Nothing against Korg -- I've bought & liked the occasional Korg! In fact, I use a Korg piano in my Fleetwood cover group. The Triton is certainly a magnificent piece of equipment, but it has no business in a setup if folks are going for late '70s Mac style.

one blatanly obvious moment is during SYWon LIB where the whole time they sing th chorus you barely hear Stevie or Lindsey. It isn't really untill the end that you hear them at all. Shame. I wonder if Mick realizes the he isn't the man he once was and is now trying to keep FM going by bringing in other people to hide the flaws in the bands performances. I beleive that someone should be there for the keyboards, but that is all.
