Why don't you show her, Jason?? She's awefully cute! Congrats.

I would like to join the bitchfest that has kinda become this thread. Can anyone answer this question....

Why are men scared of widows??? I've had a few interested lately myself, and as soon as your past marriage/dating/divorce discussion comes up (which it always does) they run like hell in the other direction as soon as you say widowed.... Oh well, what can you do except for laugh? When a good one comes along, he won't be afraid that "it's" contagious!

Lord Child - as if you do not have enough on your plate

But, although it is little comfort, it is a good thing you find this out early

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! We used to show our dog, AJ (a Gordon Setter; Holly Hollow's Tale of Suspense), and he was getting pretty close to getting titles, etc.

Our dog, Tyler (Gordon Setter, too), only has hunting titles. There's no way he'd be a show dog. Our dog Riley's (surprise, Gordon Setter'D!) worthy to be a show dog, but he's waaayyy to stupid. Poor guy.

Unfortunately, I was getting ready to head out to the bus in seventh grade (October 17 2000 ) and AJ was eating his food next to me (he was REALLY protective over it). The lights were off, of course, and I hear him growling and I dart to the corner of the room and he ends up biting a 1/2" chunk out of my right leg. Tons of stitches for that one.

After that, we decided that maybe we should send him back to the breeder, since she knew how agressive he could be (she & my mom & dad were friends). A few months later, we find out AJ bloated and they tried to get him to an emergency vet, but apparently no one would take him.

It's really a shame, because he was a great dog even though he was really agressive at times. Like if he was downstairs and it was dark (which it always is in this house, since there are never any lights on -_-), you'd have to call his name at the top of the stairs first before you could walk down them or he'd growl and possibly go after you. :\

Smile my venting about nothing

Is it my turn? Well, I'm sorry that I have no clue why men are afraid of widows. I'm the least qualified person to answer that question.

Well, let's see...I've had a diss experience. I had a Kerry bumper sticker on the door of my dorm room and someone ripped it off. I also heard that some people had Kerry signs in their yards and they were burned. I've been seeing lots of "Marriage: One Man, One Woman" bumper stickers, and I had to make myself not rip them off or key the person's car, but the thing is, I didn't, no matter how much I wanted to! I'm the one who should be angry enough to rip off a bumper sticker or two, anyway, not them!

Anyway, I have a crush on this girl in my history class and she's so heterosexual, damn it. And she has no idea I like her. And I'll be trying to focus on the Congress of Vienna or the Concert of Europe and I'll start having visions of the two of us slow dancing. It's so pathetic. The girl is perfect. She's absolutely perfect. And she's totally oblivious to that. The long, curly red hair, the deep brown eyes, the curves, the innocent smile, the freckles--it's all perfect. Damn it. Her voice is even perfect whenever she decides to speak to me. It's an unfortunate event when she does, because I'm always totally at a loss. Sometimes she tries to talk to me and I just can't say anything at all. I try to talk, but nothing comes, so I just give up and thumb through my notebook.

Wow. It felt good to rant about that. And it also felt oh so pathetic.

Hillary

oh, man, that's the worst. I'm so sorry. Where's your gaydar? she does sound pretty, though, actually my best friend looks just like that...you should really try to smile and talk and act normal, though...and I mean normal, like you don't have a giant crush on her. This happens to me, too, it makes me act really blank, so as not to give away too much, ie, to control myself from giggling and smiling like doofus...that's probably what you're trying to avoid, too.
I have a scorpio-boy crush in my class too. we're friends and stuff, and he wants to sleep with me, but not sooooo much. he thinks he'd be slumming a bit, (he didn't tell me that, it just is - he's really ambitious, good looking, smooth, and has refined-ish tastes, even though really he is dirty, too. Basically, i wouldn't go with his life plan and vision) anyway, I'm not gonna sleep with someone who feels that way. especially since i'm smarter than him but still it's torture. But he has a twin brother who lives on a boat and is all nature-y and hikey, and not as thin. I'm hoping to meet him sometime, actually!
Anyways
Good luck with that!

The plate is starting to feel empty! I'm bored!

At least I don't have "my baby's daddy" drama, or fighting with an ex all the time!

Thanks Amber! It makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one who just blanks out and/or acts all giggly in these situations. I'm working on acting like a normal person. And about that guy--hey, at least you know you're smarter than him!

OMG - you're SO not the only one who acts like that in those situations....most of the time I am completely incapable of speaking to people I am attracted to...

Also - I've had my fair share of crushes on the straight girls...they suck - but are kind of fun...I refuse, however, to be one of the "I can convert them" type girls...I had a supervisor who was like that...was really beginning to get a bad reputation around town...mostly for freaking out straight women haha...

I'll join with another rant....it's been four and a half years since I've dated a woman....then I was single for a year then I met my ex-boyfriend (we were together for 2 1/2 years).

Now however I seem to have entered some asexual phase Like I've had these two guys interested...I went on a date last night - but oh my God - these guys do nothing but annoy the crap outta me!!! I mean really....I just blah.....guess that means I need to just be single for a while....but yeah there was a gay/lesbian film festival here for the last two weeks or so...and a couple of weeks ago I was sitting in a coffee shop when one movie let out...and wow...I mean wow...things are way different here than in my hometown....a lot of attractive people came out of that movie....still...I'm SO slow when it comes to starting any relationship I guess I just want to make sure it's going to go somewhere...but then I always end things within the first couple of weeks....because I'm impatient and I figure if someone is annoying me that much it's not worth it....ack....

Now - Maria - that sucks about guys bolting when they hear about the widow thing - but I agree with Strand - better to find out early right? My opinion of guys is pretty low right now...which is bad...but oh well...

anyway - enough of my rant...

Angry Rant time...

why is it Fleetwood Mac does not have an accurate list of all the previous concerts like other artists? I HATE having to figure out a setlist for a show by having to listen to the tape before burning it to CD...And then having to guess if the date on the tape is even accurate.

What a pain-in-the-ass!!!!

Default OK, my turn...

...I got married while I was on vacation last week! We went to see my bro in AZ & drove up to Vegas to spend a few nights there. During that time, we went to Valley of Fire state park & got hitched.

Quick, small, simple & romantic. We've been together 10 years, so we really felt a big wedding was a bit...umm...much? Here's a link with some info & a few pics of the park.

Valley of Fire

My pics are done (my sister in law took them for me.) Maybe I'll post a few when I have time (and if anyone cares, lol!)
