Stevie Nicks, 1986, Philadelphia

Some guy from the audience jumped on top of the people in the front row to try and touch her and she smacked him off.

Reba McEntire. I was 7. She was my idol. My aunt took me. Reba still had the big hair and did all of the hits from the 90s. It was beyond awesome and I still have a special place for Reba in my heart.

Spice Girls. July '98. Woot. Don't hate!

The second one was Nelly Furtado in April... 2002? She's so little! She's a great performer, though.

Third was FM in June '03.

The fourth looks right now like it's going to be Kittie in Detroit. $15 tickets!!

Stevie Nicks - The Wild Heart Tour - September 1983.

A month earlier, we had been hit by Hurricane Alicia. I knew nothing of the tour until about a week before the show because we had no electricity, and the batteries had long since died in my radio jam box.

We had to settle for nosebleed tickets, and it was the first time I ever got high. We didn't actually smoke any - I was 14, and attended with my Mom and best friend - but the "warm smell of colitas" really does rise through the air. And since basically everyone below us was toking out, we just went along for the ride. It took us 2 hours to find our car after the show, because we couldn't stop giggling.

And the strangest thing happened at this show. Joe Walsh opened, and then he and the members of the band played tricks on Stevie during her set. At one point (I think it was during "If Anyone Falls"), someone walked across the stage directly behind Stevie's mike with what looked and sounded like a chainsaw. We knew it wasn't a fan, because the guy came out from behind Benmont/Roy Bittan's riser at the back of the stage...

Oh my:
Fair Circuit: probably Starship early 90s, no Gracie or could've been Huewy Lweis and the News, later saw Steppenwolf and Pat Benatar. Love only paying $12 for front row seats. Steppenwolf and Benatar were great! Also saw one of the Supremes at Reno, another early 90's.

Stadium First: Fleetwood Mac SYW July, 2003 Oakland Arena. Awesome show.
Second: Madonna June 2004, It was an awesome show, had been wanting to see her since I was 5.

Amber:
Front Row, I WISH! Actually since my mom wanted to hear the next day (I can't imagine why I was under strict instruction to not get anything in the first 10 rows! So instead I was LL directly across from stage, and directly above Handicapped section Great view. And yes the concert was awsome, I couldn't understand all the reports about Stevie being off form, but that night I thought she was great. I actually remember "singing" so much during the last few songs that i couldn't speak the next day

How did you sneak in?

(drum roll please . . .) NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK WITH TIFFANY!

I saw them the same week they had their first #1 hit. I think it was 1987.

Well, it was touch and go there for a bit. My friend just came and was all "wanna go to the mac?" and I was kicking myself cause i couldn't afford their tickets. Anyway, he said he had snuck into lots of concerts, Like Rolling Stones, blah, blah. so he never told me a plan (I hate doing stuff like that without a plan, and i'd never snuck into a concert before)
Long story short, he was flipping out - so i took charge. We sauntered into the outdoor smoking area, which was only sectioned off by these movable steel gate things. so i'm smoking, then chatting with some people who were already outside, then they asked me to take their picture. I was generally establishing the vibe that I belonged there, my friend was acting li,ke someone who needed their crack (pacing, looking around ) Anyway, they went in, and about 30 seconds later, i felt this..."moment", this...clear window in time (i'm not being cheesy, i really had a feeling) so I walked in, smiled at security, he smiled back, and my friend was lame and started rushing, so I asked security "can you tell me where the nearest bathroom is?" and he told me, and i laughed, and he NEVER CHECKED OUR TICKETS...so, i saved the day, i think! I hope no one important reads this, i don't want them to think their security is threatened or anything at the shows - although, anyone who wanted to do anything to them could probably just buy a cheap ticket anyway, even weirdos probably aren't that poor..
so, it was all the smoking lounge, and the lax security guy, and my feeling!

>I'm right there with you, Violet! This is embarrassing too. Whitesnake and Kixx was my first concert, back in 1990, at Municipal Auditorium (now redone and called the Gaylord) in Nashville. I guess that is what high school and hormones does to your mindd<

Actually Municipal Aud is still there, Fleetwood Mac played there in 78 lol. Gaylord is a new arena built in 96. They still have some, but not alot of concerts at Municipal.

My 1st concert was in Nashville in August 1988. My dad took me to see Tiffany and some new guys New Kids On The Block at Starwood Amplitheater .

What High School did you go to Golddust 77?

Charles
