Favorite TV theme show songs?

[Sorcerer386]

You guys are forgetting some vital ones here! Such as (off the top of my head):

Laverne and Shirley

Mama's Family (which incidently was supposed to have words...I saw Vicki Lawrence do a "two woman show" before where she did herself and then Mama, and before she did Mama, she sang the words that were supposed to be in the theme song)

Pee Wee's Playhouse

and, one of my personal favorites, GUMMI BEARS!

Dashing and daring, courageous and caring
Faithful and friendly with so much to share
All through the forest, they sing out in chorus
Marching along as their song fills the air
Gummi Bears! Bouncing here and there and everywhere
High adventure that's beyond compare
They are the gummi bears!

How could I forget 'Mama's Family'?!?

I really wanted to see Vicki Lawrence's show when she was in the area. Did you see her when she performed at Mountaineer?

Let's see. So many great tunes to choose from...

Batman: The Animated Series
The Simpsons
Twin Peaks
Cheers
Friends
M.A.S.H.
Remington Steele (the ORIGINAL theme, not the second one they used later in the series)
Gilligan's Island
Dukes of Hazzard

One I absolutely loved (and almost no one else remembers): the theme song to the short-lived ABC sitcom "Phenom" from '93-'94. Carly Simon sung it... ooh it's so cool!

Some of my other faves:
- Golden Girls
- Growing Pains
- Facts Of Life
- Full House
- L.A. Law
- Laverne & Shirley
- The Nanny
- Blossom

Yeah, that's where I saw it. It was strange...Vicki actually has a really dirty sense of humor. I guess with the prudeness of Mama, I never expected it. While the performance was good, the seating was a real drag...I could only see her from the waist up because all the seating was straight across instead of being tiered. But she was hilarious when she came out as Mama...she has that character nailed. Anyway, sorry to go off topic. I'll throw out another theme song that I barely remember, but I remember liking it: Madam's Place.

[DeadliestPoison]

Buffy & Angel. Both are perfect for the type of shows they are.

[Phil Lee]

Well that's easy. It has to be the theme from the BBC's Formula 1 highlights programme, Grand Prix. It's a song a few of you may have heard called The Chain

[celestenadia]

Law and Order and The Dead Zone.

[diamondsnake]

Veronica's Closet (Body Rock by Moby)
Suddenly Susan ("everybody wants a girl like Susan")
Dawson's Creek (I Don't Wanna Wait!")
Charmed
Three's Company
Family Matters
Passions (soap opera theme)
