I love TV theme songs. In fact, when I was a kid, I used to sit by the TV with my little portable tape-recorder, and I'd tape the themes to my favorite shows.
Of course, this was an extremely low-tech approach, and invariably my dog would bark right in the middle of the song! Some of my all-time fave theme songs, then & now: Wonder Woman Gimme A Break The Dick Van Dyke Show The Mary Tyler Moore Show Alice One Day At A Time The Jeffersons Happy Days Laverne & Shirley The Carol Burnett Show Maude The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries Charlie's Angels Three's Company The Brady Bunch The Partridge Family Knight Rider Dark Shadows Full House Family Matters Perfect Strangers Mr. Belvedere Who's The Boss Diff'rent Strokes Delta Golden Girls The Nanny Friends The Simpsons Family Guy Quantum Leap Monk Sweating Bullets Dukes Of Hazzard The Fall Guy Oh, and probably a bunch of others I've forgotten.

Lol
I recorded not only some theme songs, but shows or parts of shows.
I know, I'm weird. I just downloaded The Munsters and I LOVED that show as a kid, and I like the theme song too. Yet, ANOTHER site for themes. I have a sickness. LOL http://www.barbneal.com/tvthemes.asp Another cartoon whose theme I loved...Hercules.

A lot of my favorites have already been mentioned...Three's Company, Maude, Cheers, Family Ties...
But I think my favorite is All in the Family. Love the show, love the theme song! And I remember thinking back in the day I was pretty damn smart when I figured out the line "...boy our old LaSalle ran great..."Great thread!
