Recently, he's had severe kidney problems and he may not be long for this world. I'm hoping that he'll last at least several more months though, and as long as he can remain happy and pain-free, I'll do whatever it takes to keep him that way!
What a sweetie-poo! I hope he makes it longer, too...But also i wish him no pain and much happiness...What a great guy...Good luck!

Default Chiripa !!!!

I don't have pets, I live alone and it's hard to have an animal, besides it would be alone the whole day at the apartment, too cruel.
But my niece has a Pekines (?) dog, her name is CHIRIPA

And she is like my pet because she adores me. Every time I go to visit them, she rans wildly to receive me and cries and move the tail, etc... I love her and she loves me. SHe is so lovely with me

Hey sodascouts, your cat looks exactly like mine, and I named mine Oreo too! The other cat I have is called cookie, a little tortise shell cat. Both cats were strays.

I also have one very noisy parakeet, drives me crazy.

AMber

Scottish Folds have a rounded head with large colorful eyes that really makes 'em look different, Add the folded ears and they do indeed look like an owl.

A cool breed of cat to own.

I'm a dog person. I lost my baby last November--he was 15. I'm going to get another dog soon--and yes, it will be another dachshund. I've owned two so far. They're a great breed.

we lost the beloved & infamous cat "Percy" 3 years ago due to feline luekemia, He was a "one-in-a-million" type of cat (We adopted "Ace" the same day we lost "Percy", Or should I say he adopted us...)

Btw, Here is a link about Scottish Folds from the CFA:

Exclamation I would like to own...

a "Long Coat Chihuahua" since those are the funniest looking dogs I have seen (ie-Prima-donnas), But if I ever own a larger sized dog I want a Siberian Huskie.

If I could have any type of animal in the world as a pet I would want a Timber-wolf or just a regular wolf...Or even a goat just so I can own my own "Stevie" goat,

They both sound like sweethearts; how old are they?

Awww Nancy, he's adorable! I'll keep Mr. Oreo in my thoughts and hope for his remaining time with you to be happy and pain-free.

Sounds like a cutie! My sister has a golden retriever who has quite a fondness for me. He goes wild whenever he sees me, so I know what you mean!

I LOVE tortie colorings! Can't say I care for birds, though, so good for you for putting up with the noise.

I have one, spoiled rotten, very large (he's big-boned!), 12-pound brown, gray and white tabby named Cage. As in Shake the Cage. I didn't name him, a friend of mine did, and it just stuck. I rescued him from a life of poverty on the mean streets of Port Aransas, Texas when I was there for a weekend in 1992, and he was a 5-month old kitten.

I grew up w/ a dog, a beagle, and never thought of myself as a cat person - but sometimes pets choose their owners, and that's definitely what happened...I was staying in a beach condo w/ several people. The Zoo album was being played non-stop - the theme song of the weekend was "Shake the Cage." This kitten was hanging around the complex, didn't seem to belong to anyone. We brought home some fresh shrimp, and he followed the scent up 3 flights of stairs. We let him in for dinner, gave him some shrimp, and he slept on my pillow, right above my head, all night. And he's never done that since...isn't that weird? Anyway, 12 years later, and he's still "my baby." I've got a cute pic of him at work...I'll scan it when I get a chance...
Please do post a pic, I love to see people's "babies". And I was never a huge cat person, either. But a certain litter of kittens found me and changed my life. Funny how that happens.

Cosmo (as in Kramer on Seinfeld) B&W, one of 4 that my brother found outside in a box as tiny kittens. We took him at about 3 months of age, he's about 2 now. He loves to be picked up, held, petted, whatever - he's really laid back.

But the bastard will try to eat ANYTHING! We can't leave ANY food out, he will eat it. He will tear through bags to eat bread, and he can hear you opening a cheese wrapper from a mile away. Most recently, he ripped open the bag of marshmallows I bought for camping & was gnawing on one. He's also tried Twizzlers, peanut butter cups, onion, lettuce...what an idiot!

Paula
Paula, that's funny about Cosmo's eating habits. My cat will not eat ANY people food whatsoever, she has no interest in it at all (not even tuna, shrimp, chicken...nada), EXCEPT for popcorn. She's a weirdo! LOL.
