During Romney's testimony in Washington today about gay marriage (and all it was so fascinating to watch, BTW), Senator Leahy said that he's appalled that with everything going on in this country and around the world, everyone has time to sit and bitch about such a silly thing as gay marriage (which he ferociously supports). Then he went off on Ashcroft and Tom Ridge, saying that nothing anyone says can be taken seriously because on the same day Ridge said that the American people should just enjoy the summer and not worry about terrorists, Ashcroft called press conference to shout about all the attacks that would occur over the summer. And Ridge came out and said he had no knowledge of what Ashcroft was talking about.

I am so glad that everyone is working together now, esp. since the lack of cooperation is what lead to us not being able to stop 9/11.
