Default obtaining great seats at the last minute...

so, how is this done? I was checking Boston today through ticketmaster and they don't seem to have anything in the first ten rows, which i consider great. so, how does one get these great tix at the last minute?

mind you, i don't live near Boston and have no intention of going. i was just seeing what seats would pull up.

I pretty new to this concert thing (lol), as I've only been to 2. I did just buy two tickets yesturday for the Hartford show which are in the 14th row. I think that's pretty late (as the show is the 8th.). From what I've heard people do, you can go to the box office and just see what they have left. Or you could keep checking Ticketmaster. I found mine by just by searching and searching and searching on tickets.com until something decent came up. I think the Ledgies that have been front row (lucky bastards! ) multiple times can shed much more light.

BTW, any CT Ledgies know if the 14th row is any good at The Meadows?

I searched ticketmaster non-stop basically for my front row seats.

Wait about two or three days before the concert. From what I've been told, that's when tickets that were being held by the band and the venue to give are released if they are not used. I don't know if that's true, but I do know that last year I got my front row seats two days before the concert. The only bad thing is that, if you already have tickets, you basically have no time to sell them and might get stuck paying for them. We tried to sell the three tickets we already had AT the venue...ended up getting $150 for all three (paid $425!). Still keep checking constantly, because mine could have been a fluke...

Yes it is true , you can get great seats closer to the date of the concert. Its luck and timing, I got my Mansfield tickets this morning at 7am 3rd row center. BTW ...Tonights show was great.

Well, just be a Ticketmaster whore. That's all.

Last week, or maybe a bit more than that, Ticketmaster released quite a few front row seats for the Cedar Falls, Iowa show. They had the first 5 rows up for days...but theoretically people wouldn't even look for them because the show is quite a ways away.

Pick the shows you want to go to, know the prices, and be there.

well being that i only plan on seeing them once this year, i went on ebay and got 7th row jones beach on Lindsey's side.

as it is, i'm going alone. i've been back and forth about going as i really didn't want to spend the money but i didn't want to regret it later on. but something made me just suck it up.

i just can't go to any of their shows and sit further than 10th row. i'm sure most of you are the same. as a result, i couldn't get anyone (casual fans) that wanted to spend the $$ on those kinds of seats. i don't blame them. my fm cohort always comes back to ny for as many shows as we can go (it's usually NYC,PNC,Hartford,Scranton...hey, i live in a very convenient location!) but it's a no go this time.
