New re issues! Tusk/White album

I just listened to the Tusk. And I am so thrilled to of gotten the outtakes and rough cuts etc... I think they did the right move! To give their fans what they wanted at last! Were they remastered spicefically for 5.1 suround?

The remastered “tusk” is brighter and fuller than the older cd. nice job in spiffing these songs up as they are immaculate and just as vital today!!! most of all this album didn’t succomb to rock's "good time" cliché!!!

The key to this album being so extraordinary is that lindsey wasn’t hung-up on the unending dash to the top up the charts. these well-crafted songs show lindsey’s production smarts and are top-notch!!!: including both punch-punk tracks “not that funny” which really lights up on stage and “the ledge,”... his sultry singing on “save me a place” “that’s all for everyone” “i know i’m not wrong” “that’s enough for me” and “tusk” - DON'T SAY THAT YOU LOVE ME! JUST TELL ME THAT YOU WANT ME! I hear kleenex boxes! mics on the floor! marimba simulation!?!? but who knows what instruments or computers are actually being used!!!

I like the stevie tracks. this lady has untethered imagination!!!
she sings with gusto on “sisters of the moon” which she elevates to the stratosphere, “storms” which she sings with a possible cold, the beautifully haunting “sara.” and "beautiful child" - YOUR EYES SAY YES/BUT YOU DON'T SAY YES/I WISH THAT YOU WERE MINE on which i have to catch my breath.

christine – perfect! on “honey hi” which is true lovedum, the beautiful dark “brown eyes” and the low-key and breezy “never forget.” her voice and exquisite tinkling of the ivories are her major assets!!!

the alternate mixes on the bonus disk? let’s see…: EVERY SINGLE ONE of the exotic sounds from lindsey’s roughs especially in “lindsey’s song #2"!!! then the fun-jam “kiss and run.” ("i think we should do it!")

With music this exceptional, one sees why fleetwood mac never had to resort to visual excess when doing live shows. speaking of visual, nice color picture of linds sitting in dodger stadium with mick, and of lindsey and stevie in the stadium on P. 7.

Aren't the DVD-Audio discs a different project?

Actually, both those pics were taken at the Coliseum (not Dodger Stadium) in 1980 when Lindsey, Mick & Stevie performed with the Trojan Marching Band at halftime at a USC/Arizona State game. Yours truly saw it.
