Well, Prince and Steive hung out alot in the wild days. I think he probably asked her to sing a few things. But, she said she never could relate to the sexually explivit nature of his stuff. But - who knows - I think they are talking about SB as that is the most famous one

There's also a song called All Over You, I downloaded it somewhere... so I don't know for sure who wrote it, but it sure is Prince playing on that track.

I've often wondered if it's not just a coincidence that the uptempo outtake of "I Sing For The Things," sounds reminiscent of "Manic Monday."

it sounds very much like Stevie to me! Total Eclypse.. pfff, anyone who remembers the hitparades of the eighties just knows that's **(ok, I gave the wrong answer...**, nót the mac. But this song, definitely Stevie.
btw, I've no idea what discussion you're referring to, I don't read everything on the Stevie-ledge. Last edited by Mari; 03-18-2004 at 12:10 PM.. |

The original version (that was the mega-hit) of "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" was by Bonnie Tyler...and ONLY Bonnie Tyler.

*Sighs* No offense to those who have, but Bonnie Tyler's voice, as distinctive as it is, does not hold a CANDLE to Stevie's. I've never thought it was her singing that
Bonnie's is more raspy in the god-I-need-a-coughdrop type of way, Stevie purrs.![]()

This still leaves the question unanswered by whom else than Stevie the song "All Over You" was sung.

This post made me think of the first time I heard John Mellencamp's "Crumbling Down". I really thought the female voice belonged to Stevie. This was back in 1983 and Stevie was all over the place. I only thought this for a second cuz I ran to the record store and bough the album and lo and behold it was not Stevie. Album is pretty good even so.
