This would satisfy a need for no one but Mick.

Lindsey wants to rectify the firing by playing under the name Fleetwood Mac. He'd make money he otherwise couldn't make touring with just Stevie and Mick, but a lack of money is not what's eating at him.

Stevie conversely would lose money (and autonomy), and is not desperate to "make things right" with Lindsey in any musical or professional sense. Nor is she looking to do something different for a change of pace.

If it's Buckingham Nicks, they should be doing a residency in Alabama!
Perhaps a promoter can inflate a hot air balloon over a baseball stadium and call it The Sphere.

Ugh, the more I think about any concert or residency or tour, the worse it sounds. Just think about decisions on song order! This is the pair that completely imploded over track order on Say You Will (and many prior albums as well, I'm sure). This is the pair that went into meltdown over what music (or absence of music) to walk out to at their band's own MusiCares extravaganza!

Sphere Residency Planning Meeting
Lindsey: "So for the entrance, I was thinking what would Jim Jarmusch do? And then I realized it would be really appropriate and cyclical if I entered the stage on my Ocean Spray horse while playing Introduction to Don't Look Down on a handcrafted 16th century Hungarian lute..."
Stevie (through the phone, being held by Karen): "Lindseyyy! There's no time for that!! After the animated Rhiannon short film and my 1 hour free-talk with the audience, there's only time for one more song of mine, remember? Duh?"

And now that Christine is gone Stand Back will be coming back into the mix. It will be a grab bag of classic Mac songs, a few Buckingham Nicks songs, and some solo songs. Mick's meet and greets will be $1000 that will include a photo sitting behind Mick's drums.

I agree Lindsey wants to rectify that, so this would satisfy a neeed for him. He might feel the need to be remembered as a member of Fleetwood Mac, not a former member. And that's why he's saying what he's saying in those interviews, and why he wants some kind of reunion.

Which, again, isn't something I want. Sorry Lindsey.

I think Lindsey's near death experience changed him more than the firing. His whole life he lived with losing his father and brother young to a genetic heart issue. The fear it happening to him always lived in the back of his mind. Its given him a new lease on life and he genuinely enjoys playing for people and soaking up their appreciation. Its a completely different Lindsey from years past. He does not remember much but loves sharing his past performances with his kids.

Yes, this is probably what he worries about! Time goes by fast and every day is very precious for all of them, so the sooner they can end their careers with a positive attitude for their long-suffering fans and their legacy the better in my opinion.
