I’m sure there’s already a thread or poll about this somewhere….Oh Well…
What’s the best Fleetwood Mac song released after Tango?

As Long As You Follow.
Now if I had to choose one song per singer, I'd add Bleed To Love Her, and Sweet Girl. Technically I can't say if they are the "best", but those are the ones I like the most.

Either As Long As You Follow, or Love Shines.

Most of my contenders are Christine’s:
Love Shines Heart of Stone Sooner or Later Temporary One (sorry, John B) But then there’s: Taking to My Heart Nothing Without You Got It In for You Last edited by aleuzzi; 08-20-2025 at 06:54 PM.. |

I would probably rank "Love Shines", "Everybody Finds Out", and "Red Rover" as their best work post Tango in the Night. Of their three most recent studio albums, Say You Will definitely has their most adventurous music. Outside their material on The Dance, the band's songs beyond 1987 have not been heralded as "classics", but several are worthy of more exposure to casual fans.

Smile at you, Say Goodbye and All over again.
No-one else has gone for any of those, which is interesting. I suppose. I suppose Smile at you wasn't exactly a post-Tango song in terms of composition, but I love the atmosphere created by the SYW version of it.

Oh yes that's a favorite of mine. By far much better than the studio version.
