This album has grown on me considerably. I usually always skip "Blue Letter" and I heavily prefer the single mix of "Over My Head" over the original, but it's still a great timestamp of the band before they attained astronomical fame. Christine McVie said in an interview posted on the Library of Congress that her most enjoyable experience with the band was the recording and touring of the White Album. Ken Caillat mentioned in his Making of books that the band members were more down-to-earth and less pretentious during the making of Rumours compared to their later albums.
"The band's photographer, Herbie Worthington, had recently taken a picture of Lindsey sitting on the floor of the departure gate of an airport, innocently playing his guitar. This type of youthful anonymity would soon be gone" - Ken Caillat, Making of Rumours Last edited by WalkAThinLine.; 08-08-2025 at 09:53 AM.. |
