Buckingham Nicks reissue is just the album.

This should have been reissued in the 1980s. Stevie has always said she never understood why it was not reissued.

I agree. Not to mention all the hype that preceded the news of the rerelease. I guess I expected more based on all that. I think everyone, including Stevie and Lindsey’s handlers, were probably surprised at the huge reaction their social media posts received. I hope Rhino will at least include a booklet with photos and interviews.

I agree, I was hoping for more too. I think given the fact these two haven't spoken (to our knowledge), in almost a decade, and they've scorched each other in the press, their teams knew exactly the kind of reaction the social media posts were going to receive, particularly by having Mick kick it all off. They certainly have great marketing teams working for them!

I think remixes or demos would distract from the album. I want to hear its crisp original sounds on CD. The way it was released. Keep the original album cover too. I want to pretend its 1973 all over again. The excitement is the original album is being issued in original form. Putting the gloss of 2025 on the album sort of ruins it for me. Some want a new album cover with a new Stevie? That makes no sense. I also dont want anything re-recorded. Please let me enjoy this the way it was released without the demands of what clever record companies do to older albums trying to make a buck.

I am curious. Does anyone here own an original Buckingham Nicks album? I know there are countless bootlegs but originals are rare. You can import the bootleg album from Japan easily. I imagine the collectors hate this reissue because it hurts the value of their own. For example, this original sealed cassette of Buckingham Nicks is for sale on Ebay for $100.00

Yes, I have an original. Bought it in the 70s pristine. Opens up with a photo of them on the inside standing (from the cover shoot, she is in her blouse) and it lists all the songs and their lyrics. She was listed as "Stevi" then.

I have an original. I bought it I think in 1983 at a Heck's store where I live in Southwestern Pa. They were kind of a Walmart type store. The had a record section and I was looking and low and behold there it was. I think I paid 10.00 for it. I was poor at the time, but I didn't care. I knew I had found something special. I still have it. It is worn and yellowed, but one of my prized possessions.

i have two. one is gatefold...actually i might have three up there, and they might all be gatefold lol. got them many years ago in old record shops, prob for between 35 and 50 dollars.

I have one gatefold I got in the 90s in a used record store in Boston. There's a little writing on it, so I got it for $15. They had others that were more than triple the price.

I agree with you. There are loads of demos floating around out there. I have several. Would’ve been instructive, too, to hear BN demos of “Rhiannon” and “I’m So Afraid” if for no other reason than to illustrate how much these attractive, sparking-smiled folkies benefited greatly from the Brits.
