Happy anniversary "White Album"! I will play my Deluxe album today, the whole morning! Specially the included live songs (Burbank, Connecticut, NJ).

How great would it be if they released a resmasterered/high-resolution video of a gig from that year. There are some short clips in YouTube from 1975, very low quality, the oldest with the Rumours lineup. I guess the best are those from Midnight Special early 1976.

I just listened to the album recently and found it to be a very fulfilling experience.

Recently, a self-described Gen Z producer posted a reaction video to the band's self-titled 1975 album, which I will share here. It's promising that the band continues to find new audiences.

Let's celebrate with an extended version of World Turning. I heard a similar version on Classic Vinyl about a year ago and it sounded so good. The photo of the single shows McVie as the sole composer. Its very bluesy and very Chris. I wonder what lyrics Lindsey contributed. What an amazing creeper of an album. It debuted on the Hot 200 albums on August 2 1975 and would go to #1 over one year later. That is insane.

WOW! I love that extended version…..never heard this before. I wish this was released on the box set. One of my favorite tracks from the 1975 release.

It appears that Rhino Records is releasing a limited high fidelity edition of the album in a 5.1 Dolby Atmos mix using the original masters. The set will be limited to 5,000 copies, with an even more exclusive version being issued (limited to 2,000 copies), which will contain replica 7-inch singles of "Over My Head", "Rhiannon", "Say You Love Me", and "Blue Letter". A new set of liner notes written by Anthony DeCurtis will also accompany the release, which appears to also feature new commentary from the band, including Lindsey Buckingham.

I love the single versions of the singles. Lindsey's guitar licks on Say You Love Me, Rhiannon, and Over My Head add so much to the songs.

The single mix for "Over My Head" is my preferred version, and I almost exclusively listen to that recording over the album version. Of those three single mixes, I find the one for "Rhiannon" to be most similar to the mix found on the album. It sounds a bit punchier, which is particularly evident in the drums. As for the two mixes for "Say You Love Me", I find both to be perfectly fine. The original mix probably could have fared well on the radio and I'm curious to what extent the single mix propelled its popularity.

When I do hear these songs on the radio, it's almost exclusively the album mixes, which mostly stand on their own with the exception of "Over My Head".

In his book, Mick mentioned Paul Ahearn who was hired to “break Fleetwood Mac on the radio”. There’s a quote from Paul so probably it was from a magazine article, who says:

"The big thing was, they didn't have a single. I put them together with Deke Richards, who had produced most of the early hits by Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five. They remixed 'Over My Head' so it would sound good on a car radio, and FM stations started picking it up right away."

I have the setting on my I-phone and use the Airpods Pro 2.0.

I recently listened to Tusk, (The album), and I've heard things and mixes that I had no idea were in there.

The 4k Blu-ray buyers are all about Dolby Atmos. It’s the hot thing in ultra-high definition these days. They say it’s a step up from surround sound because it also moves the sound above and below you (or seems to).

However, you need a home theater or audio setup that can process Atmos — and outstanding speakers to go with it. Otherwise, it really isn’t worth your buying things in Atmos. I have a standard 5.1 audio setup with my 4k Blu-ray player, and when I play a 4k disk with Atmos, it sounds like traditional 5.1 because my system doesn’t distribute the sound above and below me.
