I’m sure you didn’t mean it that way, but saying other people “got married, had kids, etc…in other words, grew up and had real lives” sounds like what JD Vance has said. Just a reminder that folks can be single and childless and still be grown up and happy. Again, I’m certain that’s not how you meant what you said, but that’s how it comes across.

You might be a tad too sensitive, and also need to realize that you aren't in a position to dictate what others are allowed to say. Pay our bills, and then you can tell us what we're allowed to say.

True, but I never said Bombaysaffires couldn’t say it; I said if that was what they meant to say, then I disagreed with them. There’s a big difference. And I really don’t think they meant to say unmarried people aren’t grown up.

I presented a list of the things those people did. Some got married; some had kids; some did both...... These are facts, not my recommendations. I personally don't have kids, and am well aware one does not need children to have an adult life. Not everything is personal, and facts are facts, whether some people like them or not. Stevie's long-term commitment has always been to her career over everything else. This is the choice she has made. She is allowed to make whatever choice she wants. Each choice has its own consequences. She's the one who told Sheryl Crow that if she (Sheryl) had children, she would lose her career (Sheryl said this on Oprah with Stevie sitting beside her, who freaked out and tried to deny she said it). Sheryl had two kids and as far as I can tell isn't in the poorhouse. Chrissy Hynde also had children and kept her career. But, and it's a big "but"....you have to WANT it to make it work. Stevie never really wanted that.

Lindsey just posted about the fires. He doesn't mention about his home, so I guess it is fine.

In the fifty two years I’ve lived in Los Angeles, I’ve never seen anything like the Eaton and Palisades fires. My heart goes out to all who’ve been affected by these tragedies. That said, we must all embrace the spirit of togetherness, compassion, and the resolve to rebuild.

Not sure if it is FireAid, I hope it is. But I just found this article that mentions the Musicares/Grammy tribute to the Grateful Dead (where he will play) will also be a fundraiser for music professionals affected by the wildfires.
