Yes. I would have really liked to hear that album, I love brazilian rhythms. My imagination runs wild supposing that Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso or Simone were on that record.
The original idea had been to follow up The Visitor with a Brazilian project. George Hawkins would go to Rio with me, and we'd record with the cream of Brazilian musicians. To this end we bought a portable studio, which we instead set up at the Blue Whale when the South American project was scrapped. Then I got a little band together, with George on bass, Steve Ross (a friend of Richard's) on guitar, and Billy Burnette doing the vocals.
