I just saw the video (from the link included in the first post). Though it says [HD Remaster], I don't know, it's enough blurry to see if it's her or not.

Technically she could be both, video technology was already capable of putting double images since the 70s or before, they could even put Stevie's villainous twin sister.

It starts exactly like Gypsy and she is also on the floor. Then the bizarre nautical window shows up and it starts to lose my interest. I am rather interested in the people that think the girl in white is Stevie.

I don't know if I *think* it's her, just have heard for long time that that footage was not Stevie...

I remember all the jokes about "why is she banging her head on the floor?" in the scenes where she's thrashing about.

Agree it has a lot of same flavor as the beginning of Gypsy. Isn't that weird?

Its a video that does not have much of a concept when in the mid 80s videos were all about concepts. For Stand Back, Flashdance style dancers were trendy and really added punch to the video especially with the lighting. Talk To Me is just various scenes edited together. When I first saw it I found the distant shots distracting. But she was not well and it was probably all they could do.
Its something that satisfied the record company. It's shocking how late the video came out. It almost was a waste of time and money.

On another note, things don't get much better for I Cant Wait. Her brother and the rest do equally bad step dancing. The special effects are so bad and cheap that they show them going in reverse. I think unconsciously Stevie was so out of control which is why she brought her brother into her solo career so much in 1985 and 1986. He was given a co-write credit, appeared in both videos, introduced her at concerts, and started doing her tour merchandise.

The girl in question is Cara Cooke. She was a Georgia teenager. Cara was interviewed on a local access channel about the experience. She was a taciturn young woman who had nothing to say (except that she had a crush on Benmont Tench) and she giggled a lot. There’s also some raw footage of Cara twirling with a counter on the frame. Somebody at Frontline got her in the video.

As for the world premiere cut, I think I prefer that to the final. It’s a little messier, but it has more of the footage I like.

Look what I found. Your thread from 2006.
Cara Cooke is the answer to the ultimate Stevie Nicks trivia question

Now that the name is mentioned, I found this page about a compilation:

I was quite close with the name, "Kara." Thanks David.

Super cool watching the original edits of this video, and in the background, Brad Jeffries and SN are having a swing dancing moment... Wonder who, if anyone, has the outtakes from this. Do we think that she does??

If I'm not mistaken, the Crystal Visions DVD that had Stevie doing all the commentary for her music videos, I think she mentioned in TTM that the girl in the Candyland set was not her but a girl. But looks like it was already figured out in earlier post.
