How much of a dick is the guy in the play????

Thanks for posting this Homie.
I was thinking the same thing. 100k+ a year, for something you did nearly 50 years ago? Sign my ass up!

And yeah, it shows what an idiot Mick truly is.

You're welcome!

I mentioned this play after watching the Tony awards. But I can't remember what thread I posted in. I think someone said they were surprised no movie or play had been done on the band and I said check out Stereophonic. I read up on the play and when I saw the Tony awards scene with the English bassist talking about boats, I was blown away. The writer is clearly writing about the Mac, even if he claims otherwise. I'm surprised that Stevie or the rest of the band don't know about this. Maybe Mickey or Ken will let them know. And Stevie is coming to New York for Saturday Night Live next month. I see a skit coming.

Default Play-giarism

This play and the Daisy Jones book and TV series speak to the vacuum of official dramatizations about the band. Big lost opportunities for musicals, movies, streaming series. I've long envisioned a stage musical of Mac music, telling a story of two kids who meet in high school and have to grapple with a whirlwind of music success.

I suppose it's far easier to make a project like that happen when it's a solo artist rather than a group. Maybe Lindsey would veto any project that prioritized the personal drama over the music.
