Mine will probably be showing up in the next couple hours. It's been a tough week so it's nice to have something to look forward to.

I got my CDs on 8/17 and have been listening to them. Out of the Cradle is still my favorite album by Lindsey, it’s just so good. I simply can’t warm up to the other two discs, though. Law and Order and Go Insane leave me feeling cold, while OOTC has pretty much the opposite effect. I’m curious as to his evolution… was it a conscious decision to make OOTC more accessible, or had his taste changed, or was it the folks he was working with, etc? Interesting to me that IMO, Stevie started off her solo career so well yet each album progressively got worse for awhile, while the opposite was true for Lindsey, who seemed to get better and better with successive releases.

Law and Order will always be my favorite Lindsey album. Is it weird af? Oh yeah. But he had already drawn me into the weirdness of Tusk, so it wasn't that far removed.

But I never really got into Go Insane. I was in a different place, and had began listening to other artists by then. It was no longer FM, 24/7/365.

So very interesting. As I always loved new music and definitely not ALWAYS 24/7/365 with the MAC. I would welcome all the new releases from the MAC & co.. I think I like Law and Order and Go Insane about the same.

In Go Insane's defense, I was listening to other artists when it came out. I bought it, and gave it a few listens, but didn't give it proper time to become obsessed with it. My bad.

I think my deal is with the track Slow Dancing. I freaking love that song. It’s definitely in my top 10 of all time favorites.

It's a catchy song. The video is weird AF, though.

I mean, it IS too weird for mass consumption. To me, again, it's not that far removed from Lindsey's weird songs on Tusk.

Fifteen years ago, I was hosting FM weekend pool parties, with(now gone from here) members of the Ledge. I completely turned them on to L&O. Especially Johnny Stew. We'd crank up the grunts in the middle, then rock out until the end.
