He must have been a total jerk but I would love to know the details. Chris was a strong woman and could stand up for herself. Steve Winwood didn't care for him, either.

No. Rick Jaeger and Mike Finnegan were less than glowing and Bob Glaub thought he was cheap. I don’t know what Jim Krueger thought about him, but he was supposed to go out on tour with Dave when he died.

As for the Traffic guys, I know he was closer to Jim Capaldi than Steve Winwood, but no clue about Chris Wood.
