Thank goodness for John! “Skies the Limit” is the most egregious thing Christine McVie ever put out in the world 🤣

It’s funny how some people are irritated by that! The interesting thing is, nowhere in the song does anyone sing “skies the limit.” It only appears in the title. In the song, it’s always “the sky is the limit now” and “oh, the sky is the limit.”

In terms of speaking the title, Skies the Limit rolls off the tongue better than The Sky is the Limit or The Sky’s the Limit.

Is there even such a word as sky’s?

Funny thing is that Notorious B.I.G has a song Sky's The Limit and Lil Wayne has a song The Sky Is The Limit. But none of these rappers have a cool song Skies The Limit. Another reason Chris was too cool for school

Musically and editorially.

But then there is the line Stevie gave her for “Oh, Daddy”: “and I can’t walk away from you, baby if I tried”—this is bad grammar. Christine’s original line was grammatical, though less evocative.

Chris was too kind to say anything to Stevie. Or Bob Dylan.
