Steal Your Heart 2nd Most Added

Steal Your Heart Away is off to a good start at its target format, Triple A. It was the 2nd most added song, the week ending November 14th.

The following stations added the song to their playlists last week:

KTBG - Kansas City, MO
WOCM - San Luis Obispo, CA
KRSH - Santa Rosa, CA
WRNX - Springfield, MA

Thrown Down is off to a slower start, as expected. But three stations have added the song to their playlists:

KCDV - Monterey, CA (Hot AC)
WHOM - Portland, OR (AC)
WHUD - Westchester, NY (AC)

Thrown Down picked up three more adds this past week, all at Triple A stations:

WCLZ - Portland, ME
WOCM - Salisbury, MD
KCLC - St. Louis, MO

I contacted two of our local AC stations, and requested "Thrown Down" last week, but unfortunately both switched to all-Christmas music formats the very next day!

Now Now - they are all Fleetwood Mac songs



Perhaps more interestingly, it is the only track on which CM's voice clearly is discernable. HMMMMMMMMM

Steal Your Heart Away is a great song. It should be the biggest hit off the album.

Daniel didn't mention "Steal Your Heart Away" in his second post (the first post was from last week), so I'm not sure if that means the song didn't receive any new adds in its second week, or not.

Interesting that Triple A stations are also picking up "Thrown Down," when it's really only being targeted at AC and Hot AC stations.

Hopefully one or both of the singles will get the Mac some decent airplay going into the new year.

What radio stations are you listening to? I flipped through all the radio stations today, and they played Christmas music at times but also played regular music. Did you request it at 100.7? I definitely know they're not going to be all Christmas music.

Yeah, I thought that was strange too. But the Triple A adds for last week were for Thrown Down, so I guess they serviced that market too. No additional adds for Steal. It's unlikely that many more stations will add either song, unless Fleetwood Mac gets some Grammy nominations, which are announced tomorrow (12/4).

I'm a little surprised that Billboard hasn't reviewed the singles, as they had done for Peacekeeper and Say You Will. One of the singles chart writers is an avid Stevie Nicks fan (he always answers the "Is Trouble in Shangri-La platinum yet?" type questions ), so you'd think he'd have some influence over there.

Actually, Justin, the one (97.3) is out of Wheeling, WV., and the other is out of Ohio (the call-letters are escaping me at the moment).

I did request it from WISH-99.7 though, since they seem to only be playing Christmas songs part of the time, so hopefully they'll play "Thrown Down."

For some reason, 100.7 never wants to come in clearly for me, so I didn't bother to request it from them... but I probably should anyway!
