Her makeup was far more natural.

Even older, she looks far better (and younger) with less or even no makeup than overly tarted up which was the style of makeup she started to go with once she started her solo career. To the point that in recent years she way, way overdid the very black eyeshadow and eye liner. She began resembling Cruella DeVille. She doesn't need all that warpaint.
