I have been thinking about this for a long time.

We know that Cool Water, Goodbye Angel, and Teen Beat were supposely unknown tracks from Mirage.

Same goes for Ricky, Book of Miracles, Down Endless Street, and You and I Part I from TITN.

If you had a choice to add songs to their respected album when (or if) it gets enhanced, which ones would you choose and why?

For TITN: All (especially You and I, Part I)

There's room on a CD for ALL "B-sides" to be included along with the original album.

That includes "Silver Springs" on Rumours

"Cool Water", "Goodbye Angel", "Teen Beat", "Blue Monday" on Mirage

All the single B-sides on Tango

"Lizard People", "Got No Home", "Victim Of Love", & "Intuition" on Behind The Mask

By the way, I actually did that with TITN - adding the B-sides and other tracks to pad out the album, but then I found that the album didn't flow as a whole, so I resequenced it thus:

That's a really great setlist! I never heard of Joan of Arc.

I think that Down endless street has a great potential. I love the sound of LB's voice on that. But the song is still a work in progress imo. This cheap sounding synthesizers rhythm right from the beginning through the whole song is annoying. (This is also disturbing on songs like Family man or its relative Soul drifter, although the latter is aside from this synth-theme a really great song) I would love to hear what DES sounded like if produced today.
But I always prefered DES over the other mentioned TITN B sides which I regard simply as song fragments.

Down Endless Street is too camp. My God, what was he thinking? One can only hope that had he finished the song, he would have toned down that annoying keyboard and added some cool guitar licks.

I don't remember Ricky much. Lost it some time ago.

"Got No Home" & "Intuition" were two FANTASTIC songs written by Rick Vito for Behind The Mask. A completely revamped/re-recorded "Intuition" eventually ended up on his first solo album King Of Hearts with Stevie Nicks singing the harmonies that Christine & Billy did on the Fleetwood Mac version.

"Victim Of Love" was a song written by Billy Burnette intended for Behind The Mask

Those songs REALLY show the untapped potential of Rick & Billy. It's my theory (since he won't say) that the omission of those songs led to Rick's departure. And, I can see his point. "Stand On The Rock" MAKES the album and neither of Rick's two GREAT songs above, don't? That's a crime!

I think that the "powers that be" of Fleetwood Mac couldn't allow the remotest possibility of a hit single by a male songwriter of Fleetwood Mac whose name WASN'T "Lindsey Buckingham" at that point in time. If Rick or Billy (or BOTH) DID have a song or two that were hits, how would that have changed the course of Fleetwood Mac history? Mick, even at that juncture, seemed to be making decisions that kept Fleetwood Mac from being "relevant" and led them on a path to restore the Rumours five. It almost appeared to be a deliberate attempt to sabotage the success of the two post-Buckingham incarnations of the band.

Well, "Paper Doll" was one.

Other than that, there are alternate takes & mixes of "Affairs Of The Heart", "Save Me" & "Behind The Mask" that sound (to me, anyway) better than what was officially released.

I haven't heard the BTM outtakes, unfortunately.

But, besides those, I think only "Silver Springs" and "Goodbye Angel" deserve to be on the albums. Oh, and "Smile at You" should have been on Mirage.

All the others are pretty weak, IMO.

Wasn't Paper Doll recorded for the Greatest Hits album but was replaced at the last minute? I remember reading that somewhere.

I agree about the alt. versions of Affairs of the Heart; the album version pales in comparison.

Amen Brother chiliD. For the life of me I cannot figure out what happened. Do you think they got hammered - high - whatever and handed over the wrong tapes a la the substitute brain from "Abby Normal" (read "abnormal") in "Young Frankenstein."

I can't really compare Rick's songs with others because I didn't hear them, but if this were the case, then why would they have released Hard Feelings as a single?
