So what exactly is the argument? Stevie and Lindsey obviously care very deeply for each other, even now (or now again). I have no doubt that they love each other. They have a common unique history that no one else can ever touch. Is that love physical at this point? I don't think so. I think they are probably beyond that at this point.
As far as the stage show, sure it's a show, they do the same damn thing every night, how is it not a show? But the best acting is a result of tapping into real feelings, and I think what they are doing is more akin to that than either "faking it for the fans" or "an inability to hide their passon for each other". Being on stage intensifies feelings, but doing anything on stage is also inherently fake. The lights fade and so does the intensity. That doesn't make it fake or lying, it's just the nature of the stage. You take off your costume and your makeup and you go home. And this is pretty much what Stevie is saying, and maybe we should just take her at her word. Great article, though! One of the best I've seen!
